The Montage Maxi Dress ($248), part of Anthropologie’s Holiday 2014 collection.

Mini-update on the RewardStyle commission tracking error issue: Looks like my tracking cookies are not working this morning, a violation of the EA Terms of Use. Let’s see how long they play games before actually upholding their service agreement. As of this morning, no response to my last email to them. I’ll keep the community updated as this situation is resolved.

Yesterday Anthropologie unveiled its holiday collection in the form of a first dibs email for Anthro members! I’m still catching up to Monday myself…but I’m very delighted by what I see! Check out all the first dibs items here or head inside for the most intriguing selections and thoughts to kick off the discussion. Sparkly maxis! Bows over boobs! Body-hugging sheaths, intricate embroidery, peplums, they’re all part of the selection!!

Compared to years past, the 2014 Anthropologie Holiday Collection has a welcome diversity of lengths, shapes and cuts to its dresses. In addition to the dresses shown above I’m digging the Midnight Romance Midi Dress ($565) by Zimmerman (of course!), the tuxedo-open-bibbed Diamond-Sliced Dress ($498) from Nanette Lepore and the JILL Jill Stuart Alexa Bow Dress ($198), which is the quirky delight of Anthro holidays past.  Not everything is poufy and not everything is a slinky sheath either. There are more separates than I recall in at least a few years — pretty skirts that hit everywhere from thigh to toes with tops that shine and sheen in coordinating ember.

When it comes to accessories Anthro’s always shined in this department for the holiday. This year is no exception. What’s your favorite piece from this first dibs page?
