The latest from my Anthropologie wishlist, review previews and more

The Botanica Neoprene Sweatshirt ($118), one of Anthropologie’s newer arrivals
that has my interest piqued.

I made it into Anthropologie earlier this week to try on a bunch of stuff and found some new(er) items to add to my wishlist. Inside, what has me most excited right now, some quick thoughts on a few things I tried on, and room to share.

Tracery Tee ($128)

Tenney Dress ($228)

Ela Sheath ($178)

Above is the stuff that has me most tempted right now. I don’t want to even think about Fall right now — every time someone laments that ‘summer is nearly over’ I remind them we have a month left!! In the clothing realm however Fall’s already in full swing. I’ve made my shopping list of what I need (one or two work dresses, a couple of light layering sweaters, one to two new pairs of jeans, new black pumps and one other pair of pumps, three pairs of flats, one new pair of tall boots — take 20% off these boots with code STYL2014 at checkout). Beyond that is what I want (everything) and we shall see where I end up.

During a recent visit to Anthropologie I was sad not to find the Emerald Garden Pencil Skirt ($138) in-store — it’s probably the item I’m most excited about right now! But I did find several other items to like. Full reviews upcoming but in the meantime here are some quick thoughts:

Capelle Dress ($158) — beautiful color palette, runs a little large (I took a small instead of my usual medium). Fabric is thicker than I expected but has stretch.

Center-Smocked Tank ($48) — more sheer than I’d like, but pretty. Size down. Ruching may slide up over larger busts.

Crossed Cowl Tee ($48) — very disappointed in the fabric. Bottom half of top is very unstructured and loose. Size down. Not in love with this…pass.

Gossamer Tee ($68) — friggin adorable! I want it in all of the colors..except that the slate version feels cheaper to me for some reason, like the cotton isn’t from the same batch as the other two colors. Size down.
Pommed Pencil Skirt ($148) — love! Very structured piece, pattern is gorgeous in person. True to size.

Seam-Drape Pullover ($48) — nice, somewhat sheer in the lighter colors. Reminds me of the Climbing Cowlneck and a few other oldie but goodies. True to size, hugs curves.

Thoughts on much more to come. Then there are online exclusive items like the Ela Sheath ($178) which has terrible reviews but I want to try it anyway!

What’s tops on your Anthropologie wishlist right now? What should I look for when I head back to do reviews later this week?
