Is your closet full of items you no longer wear? Wishing you had some help to put together looks for a few clothing items you like, but can’t figure out what to pair with them? My good friend Lenore Pemberton Cilmi, a stylist based in NYC who’s worked on movies, TV shows and web film projects you’ve definitely heard of, is holding a special event this weekend where you can get rid of the old, learn how to pair what you have and find some new.
Here’s the deal: Shop Your Closet is being held this Saturday August 16th from 10 AM to 1 PM in Midtown (NYC). For $30, you get access to tons of clothing from Lenore’s styling closet backstock as well as items your fellow attendees bring. Plus, during the event Lenore will be walking around to help you assemble outfits. This is such a deal; her hourly rate is justifiably much higher than $30 and she’ll be available for three hours on Saturday! She is amazing. I’ve hired her twice to help me go through my closet and both times she’s created outfits for me I would never have discovered. Coincidentally I get compliments on those outfits she helped me with all the time. She’s truly a style rockstar and I’m very excited to help spread the word about this event!
The events usually have 30+ attendees so you’re sure to find a variety of sizes, ages and of course styles. Even if you walk away with just one item, that’s well worth the $30 entrance fee. Plus the mental freedom of giving away clothing you no longer need to a second, happy home with someone else. My friends who attended the last event each scored at least 2-3 items each, many of which are completely amazing pieces.
