Every so often during my online clothing hunt I come across an item that makes me stop in my tracks, forget what I was doing and just drool. I may not need every item I want, I may not be able to afford every item I want, but I can certainly appreciate every item I want!
Today’s afternoon delight: the Mark Cross mini trunk bag you see above. In 2008, just after I’d moved down to Wall Street, I was following a woman out of the subway who was wearing the most incredible golden yellow bag. I tried my best to catch up with her and ask where she got the bag but I wasn’t able to before she ducked into an office building. This bag is the closest I’ve seen to matching the one of my dreams.
I love how it opens and the way the inside looks. Yet it’s a small shoulder bag. So cool!
It’s unlikely to come with me unless it hits major sale — I already have one luxury bag in my closet (my beloved Céline Nano) and I can’t justify another. Still, one can dream of this dream brought to life for me to drool over. Please join me.
