For awhile it seemed as though Anthropologie and I would never be on the same page about jewelry again. Recently however my wishlist has exploded with jewelry additions! Anthro’s stepped back from all oversized (though there are still some ginormous statement pieces for fans of the look) and is back to its more delicate routes. Inside, a look at many of the pieces that are making me swoon.

You may want to put your wallet in the freezer before you look.

NECK AND NECK AND NECKLACES

In the necklace section there’s a fantastic mix of everything from delicate delights to bubbly bibs, triple-strand to I don’t understand why this piece is so friggin pricey. Still, there’s surely something for everyone among the mix of custom pieces to almost-custom pieces. Though the $1,000+ options are beyond my budget it’s very cool to see Anthropologie commissioning artistically detailed pieces. Remember when they used to do this with clothing?

Even after I assembled the tableau above I found more necklaces to love, like the  Pearled Foxglove Necklace ($68), the Chained Horn Necklace ($52) and the Sidra Necklace ($88) — so bold! Among my recent purchases is the Planklet Gem Necklace ($42) — I completely disagree with the product reviews! You can see how it looks on me in this reviews set. I love it and wear it all the time. It doesn’t look cheap to me though perhaps beauty is in the eye of this beholder.

BRACELETS BEYOND

My current job contract requires me to attend some pretty chic evening and weekend events (it’s a tough life) and in the process I’ve noticed a dearth of evening-appropriate bracelets in my collection. And of course the weekend bohemian in me loves a good cuff (or seven). Anthro’s gots lots of options to adorn our wrists and digits, like the centipede-like deco look of the Night Horizon Cuff ($188) or the similarly-styled Ultramarine Triple Ring ($128). I enjoy the sturdy workings of the Horseshoe Horizon Cuff ($148) or the elegance of the Scalloped Monogram Bracelet ($28), the latter of which I already have in mind as a birthday gift for some of my summer-born friends.

One thing I’m less sure about is Anthro’s sudden fascinationg with hand chains. What do you think of these curiosities? I fear they’d annoy me during the day…though they do look very pretty.

EARRINGS ARE EVERYTHING

I recently went through a drastic earrings purge and am looking to refill my cases. The Flexion Earrings ($48) appealed to me until I saw how large they are on the model. (Despite the disqualification on this particular item I do appreciate seeing these on a model, Anthropologie!)

I’m having difficulty deciding which color of the adorable Sparkled Gem Hoops ($38) I like best. And that’s to say nothing of the Paysage Earrings ($38), the Jasminum Earrings ($38), the Poetess Posts ($28, nicely named Anthro!) or the Twinkled Mini Hoops ($28), the last of which reminds me of my beloved but now dearly departed Sea Urchin Earrings from 4 or 5 years ago.

So, Anthropologie, how about a jewelry promotion?!? Have you purchased or wishlisted any of Anthro’s jewelry lately? If you have bought anything we’d love to hear a mini-review in the comments!
