Eye Candy: Anthropologie April 2014 Lookbook

Madrone Wedges ($95), Fleur de Sel Necklace ($58).
Gorgeous model, gorgeous outfit!

Anthropologie’s April 2014 lookbook flew online yesterday before I even had a chance to run the preview shots! Inside, a look at several shots from the catalogue and my thoughts. Per Anthro’s official blog part of the lookbook was shot at the Brooklyn Art library. The rest looks like a cafe and either a greenhouse or a botanical garden solarium. It’s like Anthropologie knows I’m dying to for the weather to warm up so I can wander around the Bronx Botanical Garden!

Embroidered Bleuet Separates ($128-$168), Fritillary Lucite Heels ($348).
Looks like a dress but is in fact two pieces. I love the blue on white!
I wonder how this will look on my non-model proportions.
Shadowscape Tunic ($158), AG Brooke Bermuda Shorts ($148-$158), Arch Wing Earrings ($188), Seaglass Necklace ($78), Fiddlehead Cuff ($88).
Love the jewelry but iffy on the outfit. If Bermuda shorts are back I’m cool with that.
Classon Top ($58), Songbird Skirt ($128), Lissome Sandals ($70), Streamlined Satchel ($398).
Another skirt I adore.
Daisy Chain Tee ($88), Shimmered Dusk Skirt ($398), Glasshouse Posts ($88), Fiddlehead Cuff ($88).
The colors are really working for me in this look. I can already tell that top is going to run huge.
Sphere Point Necklace ($178), Almanac Sandals ($88).
Love the print on the Tisana Dress, can already tell it won’t work on me.
I’m ready for a break from chambray.
Reflection Cuff ($68), Fiddlehead Cuff ($88).
The dress looks cool in theory but may be over the top in real life.
Only the fitting room mirror knows for sure!
Flora Vignette Dress ($168), Ancora Earrings ($38), Dianthus Pendant Necklace ($48).
This outfit was secretly transported from Lallapalooza, 1994, to the present.
Let’s see if anyone notices!
Tonnelle Dress ($158), Observatoire Heels ($168).
I suppose if you’re going to do an exposed zipper may as well be blatant about it.
Lolanthe Dress ($158).
I know this dress has a lot of love in the community but it’s kinda meh for me.
Smocking is not generally my friend.

Overall, I love the setting of this catalogue more than the clothing. There are several skirts I’ve wishlisted and a few dresses I’m both excited and hesitant to try on. Nothing I must have though that’s pretty typical of me for Spring.

And of course there are plenty of new arrivals beyond the catalogue that have me intrigued. What do you think of the April 2014 Anthropologie lookbook? What items landed on your wishlist, what items left you scratching your head?
