BHLDN updates: trunk shows, sample sale, and a new location…?

Attention brides-to-be, bridal parties and party-goers: BHLDN is very busy right now!

Yesterday BHLDN announced that it will once again be doing trunk shows in Anthropologie stores around the country. The initial dates begin today with a stop in Dallas, TX and continue through March 1 in Portland, OR.

What is a trunk show you ask? Basically it’s a private try-on session. The BHLDN team will have just about every dress they carry with them plus select accessories — belts, hair combs, veils, etc, but only one of each dress in each size. You can try on any of the dresses. If you decide to purchase one of them you won’t be able to take it home with you that day — instead a brand new dress will be shipped to you. Same deal with accessories; anything you buy will be shipped to you.

Interested in making an appointment for the trunk show? Head over to the trunk show landing page, and click on the italicized “book now” link next to the date in the city of your choice.

In other exciting BHLDN news, the store is holding its first-ever Philadelphia sample sale at the company’s Navy Yard home. On January 25th interested brides and such will be able to sift through a selection of gowns priced from $100-$300!

Here’s the fine print on the sample sale announcement page:
No appointments necessary. No fitting rooms available. Credit cards only. All items sold as is.
All purchases are final sale. No limit on number of units per person. Free parking!

Wondering what the sample sale will be like? Racked Philadelphia has some tips that should help.

And finally Racked NY is reporting that the Upper East Side Anthropologie is about to become home to a permanent in-store BHLDN! The UES Anthro previously hosted a BHLDN pop-up that was massively successful and the store, which used to be home to a 3-screen movie theater, has the perfect spot upstairs to house a little store within the store.

I’m super excited about this news! I’ve been hoping for a BHLDN in NYC since the brand was first announced and while the Upper East Side Anthro remains the least convenient Manhattan outpost for me it’s much better than no BHLDN. I hope that in addition to gowns and bridal accessories that this new NYC home will also carry party dresses, decorations and perhaps shoes too?

Have you checked out the Spring BHLDN collection? I’m totally in love with the Onyx Gown and the Ruth Gown. Non-bridally, I think these crinkle fans and this confetti popper are about the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. My New Year’s Eve party this year had confetti poppers and I wonder how I ever got through life without them. Just think of all the ways you could use them! Great day at work? Confetti popper. Got a new bag you love? Confetti popper. It’s the weekend? CONFETTI POPPER.

Confetti popper people — call me.
