Sponsored: Lucky Brand launches its Made in the USA collection, plus a special offer!!

In the market for some new jeans? I feel like I am always looking for one more pair, whether it’s that perfect everyday denim or the trendy jean that will satisfy my latest and greatest craving. Lucky Brand has teamed up with Effortless Anthropologie for a special promotion: 20% off your order and free shipping with any regular priced jeans purchase. Oh, and did I mention their jeans are once again being Made in the USA?

In college I used to live in Lucky Brand jeans (and Silver jeans fort that matter), though I lost touch with the brand once I moved to Connecticut where they were hard to find. In NYC I’ve found them again but I noticed something was different about the fit. The material changed from what I’d remembered and the jeans were no longer being made in the US. It was disappointing to say the least.

Now the brand has about-faced and brought their denim production back to the United States. I’m delighted! I stopped by the Flatiron Lucky Brand over the weekend to try on some of the collection! Quick picks below. Here are my measurements for reference: 34-29-39, 35″ inseam.

1. The CHARLIE SKINNY-MIA-ZX9.
Perfect for: The person looking for a skinny fit with a straight leg.
I love that these jeans are a dark wash. There’s light whiskering around the fly but it’s barely noticeable unless you’re up close. Skinny jeans that taper that don’t tend to fit me well so I love the straight leg (straight from knee to ankle) here. These jeans are over 90% pre-shrunk cotton — they will stretch a little over the course of the day and than shrink back to normal in the wash/dryer. These jeans are low rise, equal to where the AG Stevies hit for example. If you’re looking for a jean to make your lower half look longer and lean, this is it.

Sizing: True to size. I found my usual 30 worked best. The 32″ inseam is a bit short on me (I am usually a 35″ inseam) but will look fine with heels.

2. The CHARLIE SKINNY.
Perfect for: the Ultra-skinny jeans lover.
Medium washes have become more appealing to me lately. While these ultra-skinny Charlies don’t fit my curvy body right, they are perfect for someone with skinnier legs that wants that tapered ankle, body-hugging fit. Like the pair above these jeans are pre-shrunk 92% cotton with spandex mixed in. These low-rise jeans have distressing right above the knee and a shorter 30″ inseam, perfect for pegging or pairing with ankle boots.

Sizing: True to size, best for super-skinny legs. 30″ inseam.

3. The LOLITA BOOT-MIA-ZX6.
Perfect for: balancing out lower and upper halves; the person whose jeans always have that annoying gap in the back when they sit down.
Ah, a uniform dark wash. How I adore thee! One of the reason I love Lucky Brand is their back pocket design — it just looks good as you’re walking away. For the denim hunter looking to balance a curvier hourglass or pear figure, I suggest trying these mid-rise boot cut Lolitas. They’re available in 3 different inseams (30-32-34″) and have a slight boot cut shape that makes legs look miles long. I like to wear these with stubby boot heels just peeking out from the bottom of the jeans. The ‘slightly curvy’ cut means the jeans taper in considerably at the waist, meaning these don’t gap in the back when you sit down. I think that’s pretty frickin’ awesome.

Fit: Size down (29 for me), flattering on nearly every body type. Best for people with waists that are tinier than their hips (hourglass, pears, etc.).

4. SWEET JEAN STRT-MIA-ZX7.
Perfect for: the gal who appreciates a higher rise in her jeans.
Isn’t it the worst when jeans make you muffin top? As a curvy gal it’s incredibly annoying when a jean starts out perfectly placed, with rear rise above the waist only to have it sssslllliiiiddddeee down and create muffin toppage where there is none. Screw that. I loved how these jeans sit mid-rise to high in the back no matter whether you’re standing, walking, sitting or strutting. The mid-rise in front is comfortable, hitting just below my belly button. Always nice to find a jeans designer that understands that not all women are created straight-shaped.

Fit: Size down (29 for me). These jeans are straight through the waist to hip, so hourglasses may find some gapping in the back.

I’m delighted to partner with Lucky Brand for this promotion!! The 20% off your order with any regular-priced jeans purchase (and free shipping too!) is only valid now through Wednesday at 11:59 PM ET. Do you wear Lucky Brand jeans? What do you think of the Made in the USA collection?
