Once again an independent artist has kindly offered to host a giveaway with Effortless Anthropologie! This time around you can win a 100% silk scarf from Emily + Ross!
Meet Emily + Ross. This young company was founded by Emily McDowell and June Ross, who were inspired by the vintage travel scarves of the 40s and 50s, but are modern in design and sensibility. Each scarf focuses on a city, and features Ms. McDowell’s illustrations, but they’re drawn from a local, not touristy, perspective. You won’t find the Hollywood sign on the LA scarf, for example — but you will find a vegan dim sum truck, a sign spinner, and a woman walking her Pomeranian in a stroller.
The duo recently launched their line with three scarves: the Palm Springs, the San Francisco, and the Los Angeles. The scarves are 36″ square and digitally printed onto super high-quality, 100% silk with a soft, matte finish.
Ms. McDowell is running a kickstarter to help launch production of the line. Emily + Ross has reached its initial $6,000 goal and is now hoping to achieve some stretch goals! To find out more you can visit their kickstarter project page.
