Anthropologie is ramping up its in-store events schedule! I’m very excited to see more posters and emails about parties at the store — I love spending time with the SAs and personal shoppers and other Anthro lovers of course!
West Coast petites are getting some in-store love later this month. Anthropologie will be holding two in-store petites trunk shows. The first trunk show will be August 16 & 17 at the Fashion Island Newport Beach, CA Anthropologie. Then the show heads to San Francisco on August 23 & 24 for a trunk show at the Market St Anthropologie.
This is not a sample sale. In the designer world a trunk show allows a brand to showcase upcoming designs to a select audience of buyers and customers. Usually all sizes are available to try on but you don’t buy those items — you order them for delivery later. Hence the Free Shipping offer for orders placed at the show, according to the email. There might be only one or two of each item in any given size. So expect to see lots of Fall 2012 Anthropologie items in petite sizes at these shows. The items will be full price. If any EA community members attend I’d love to hear your thoughts on the show afterwards! Hopefully if these shows are a success it will encourage similar shows down the road…and maybe petites stocked in-store? (We talls would be super jealous.)

Locally, I saw a poster for an upcoming after-hours party at the 5th Ave Anthropologie in NYC. If you love Pilcro and live in or around the city the Anthropologie at 16th St/5th Ave will be having a Denim party on Wednesday, August 15 from 6-8 PM.
Though they’re calling it a denim party it sounds like a full range of Pilcro pants will be ready and waiting for try-on and styling sessions. Not to mention plenty of items from the fall collection to help you create a full look. Although I’m sadly going to miss this event I’m excited about it!
