Guest Post: Vacation packing Anthro-style by Thessa

Note: While I was on vacation the community helped me fill in with guest posts! I’ve got a few more to run while I’m catching up. This guest post is written by Thessa of To Look for Style.

Hi there!  I’m Thessa and I write the blog to look for: Style

I’m so, so jealous that Roxy gets to go on a trip to Paris, but I am in Hawaii right now, so I shouldn’t complain.  I do have vacationing on the brain though, so I thought I would share 25 Anthropologie pieces that I would pack for a 9 day trip to a temperate, fabulous locale.  My goal in packing is to make sure that I have fun, but multifunctional pieces that work for any and all occasions.

The breakdown for all my trips of 7-14 days tend to go as follows:

Traveling Dresses

4-5 Dresses: Pieced Column Dress, Fremont Shirt Dress, Striped Stripes Dress, Blue Jay Chemise

These can be layered, worn alone, dressed up or dressed down.  I like a good mix of patterns and colors.

5 Tees/Tanks: Beach Ready Tank, Sculptural Tank, Oriel Tee, Dolman loop tunic

These can also be layered and worn alone.  They can be combined with so many articles of clothing! I tend to go neutral with these to stretch their versatility.  But then again, I see patterns like polka dots and stripes as neutrals, so take that with a grain of salt ;).

2-3 Blouses: Hanelei button down, strawberries, Gracey chiffon blouse, Dotty Tie blouse

Details like buttons, tie necks, peter pan collars, etc. add interest to an outfit.  I tend to go with patterns with these pieces because they go over neutral tees/tanks mentioned before.

3-4 Cardigans: Not Your Boyfriend’s Cardigan, Corset tied cardigan, Checked in cardi

Bring a mix of neutral workhorse cardis (black, brown, white or navy) and fun, dressier options

1-2 pairs of jeans: AG Denim Leggings, AG Stevie Straight

Dark wash, slim straight and/or skinny

1-2 pairs of shorts/skirts: Madison shorts

Love shorts, personally.  Even if it’s chilly, they can be worn with leggings and tights

1 maxi skirt: Esker Maxi Skirt

This can double as a dress.  Extra versatility!

1-2 bathing suits: Side perched bikini, Dotty gingham malliot

5 pairs of shoes: Kambara Sandals, Ulli Sandals, Glossed Groundwork wedges, Jujube Heels, IIlk T- Straps

I’m a sucker for shoes.  They change the feel of the outfit and I have to bring options.  This is where I do NOT conserve space, hehe.

As far as accessories, I bring 3 or so belts (at least one each of wide and skinny in neutral colors), a few scarves (I have sensitive skin, so jewelry is hard for me) and a hat.
