I have to admit, I’m a bit confused. I’m pretty sure the skirt I’m wearing in this outfit is the Easy Keeper Skirt in black motif. But…I’m not 100% confident. You see when the skirt went on sale my size was already gone and though it was an online exclusive color I held out hope that a store or two might have a return in my size.
Sure enough I found one in Arizona. The SA, who was wonderful and helpful, called me back a couple of hours after securing my information to let me know that the skirt was actually brown motif, not black motif. I was confused because as far as I know the skirt only came in two colors: orange and black motif. After a quick deliberation I decided I’d take the skirt anyway. Since it’s arrived I’ve compared the skirt to the product shot endlessly. I have to say my skirt does seem browner than the product shot.
Maybe one of you with the black motif version can help me out? I have a brighter picture of the skirt below. Am I rocking the black motif? Or am I somehow wearing a secret brown version?
This is why I hate online exclusives.
I wanted a sweater that would allow the beautiful design of the Lustrous Lavaliere Top to show through. J.Crew’s Pointelle Twilight Stripe V-Neck Cardigan did the trick. The cardi has held up alright since I purchased it but is showing wear. And I might have accidentally shrunk it in the wash. But it does the job. I have another OOTD coming up with the other verseion of the Lustrous Lavaliere in turquoise. It’s such a cute top!
This outfit was a great opportunity to wear my Times Three Booties, which I found on sale with the help of a few community members. Thank you!! This pair is a fabulous alternative to a Rag and Bone pair I liked that was several hundred dollars more expensive. You could argue that they cut stump-ify my bottom half a bit and I would not disagree. But with all the ice and snow around the city heels are just not really an option at the moment. Plus two gals on the street to ask me where I got the boots. So stump away!
My top layers added some pops of color from my lovely Geology Clutch to a bright red coat, yellow scarf and aviator hat. You can see me all bundled up here.
