OOTD: No Ordinary Trench

We had a few days of rain in the city last week and it meant it was time for the Inverness Trench. Almost a year after buying this trench I’m still enthralled with it. It has the perfect mix of ruffle and racket. It looks just as good coming as it does going. I get asked where I bought it at least once each time I wear it. The jacket made an appearance in the last Twilight movie, so now my friends lovingly tease me about that. And I lovingly tease them right back for watching those movies.

Underneath the jacket is a casual look that I can get away with at my office. With the holidays coming up I’m feeling a bit exhausted. It’s nice to take advantage of my casual work environment every so often with a pair of jeans. The Alma Shirt was on my wishlist forever and I finally picked it up on sale. The silver pumps pick up the grey tones in the shirt and coat and add an extra bit of polish.

The jewelry in this look is all from American Eagle. Lately that store has been impressing me. I think of it as the college kid store but love how accessible their prices are. If I need a plaid artist shirt I can get it there. If I need a cute trendy necklace I can get it there. If I need a hoodie…you get the idea.

I was aiming for a cat eye with my liner but I think I ended up with
something a bit more Egyptian-looking.
