Happy Hanukkah ladies! My celebration was brief last nite as I attended two events: one at Club Monaco and one at Anthropologie. I’ll have posts on both later this week. The theme of this OOTD? Pink! It’s a color I don’t wear much. Some looks call for a touch of it though and on this day it worked perfectly beneath my Field Game Cardi. This outfit was all about brightness to combat the darker days we’re facing this time of year in the northern hemisphere.
A fitted cardigan like this one is great for work — I feel much cleaner and streamlined that when I have a shapeless cardi thrown over an outfit. One other thing I love is the Tom Ford Vanilla Suede lipstick I wore with this outfit. It’s such a bright, light pink. The coverage is excellent too — my lips have a plum tone naturally so pinks are hard for me to wear. But I like pink lips because they lend a touch of youth to a look. So to have a lipstick that covers this well makes the price well worth it. Plus it tastes like cake to me.
The necklace in this outfit is a gift from an ex, and while I don’t usually keep things from past relationships I’ve found this one brings me good luck. For instance, the day I wore this outfit was the day I found out Anthropologie was going to partner with EA on the Styled with Anthro post. So while the relationship is dunzo the good karma we built up continues to pay dividends. Good things always bring a smile to my face!
