Wishlist: July 2010

The Anthropologie items that are tempting me this month…

1. The entire outfit above.
I would like every single piece! Ready-made outfit! All for the affordable price of $861. Hey Anthro, you know where I live…right? AG Jeans has supplanted Joe’s as my favorite jeans brand and I’m crossing my fingers that their Tomboys in runner ($168) hit sale soon. I tweeted about the Camelot Tank ($68) this morning. I’m not sure I’ll be able to hold out until sale for that one. Ruffian does it all perfectly with their Well-Wisher Jacket ($148), part of their Mise en Scene collection for Anthropologie. Do all good things come to those who wait? Because I’ve been hoping to see the Gentle Loop Necklace ($168) move to sale for-ev-er. The Cubist Cumulus Bag ($228) would add some cool hued texture and the Viola Seed Flats ($81) ground everything nicely. So tempted to break out the credit card to make this look happen.

2. A patchwork cardi.
I was too excited for words upon spying the Acres of Land Cardi ($98) in the July catalogue. It looks a little short on the model which concerns me, but I’m hoping this concoction looks amazing in real life. Do want!

3. Something pretty to sleep in.
Abby’s guest post on sleepwear made me crave something lovely to dream in. And then along comes the Empire State set ($58/$38) and, well, I’m in love! Paired with the Dawning Cardigan ($78), it would be just one more reason not to get out of bed in the morning.

4. Mixed material tops.
The question is not will I buy one.september’s Blooming Button-Down ($78, left two above). The question is which color to get it in? It looks ideal for fall work outfits. Ric Rac is near and dear to my heart and their Patches & Petals Tank ($78, review here) is versatile enough to wear on its own or under a cardi (or blazer). Likewise, Tiny’s Cravat Racerback ($78) would do well at work and could be a great day-to-evening top.

5. A bold rug.
I bought my current living room rug in 2006. After three moves and several foster dogs (and cats) it’s starting to look ready for early retirement. I’m starting to look for a replacement and while it’s way out of my price range I keep returning to stare longingly at Anthro’s stunning Monsoon Rug ($1,698). It matches my earthly theme in both palette and design. Even on sale this one’s probably out of reach…but that’s why this is a wishlist.

What’s on your July wishlist?

The Empire State set is on my list. As well as the Dagmar dress. That first outfit is perfection though and component parts have since inspired my own wishlist. 🙂

Stephanie – yes, if I see it in-store I will review it for sure! And if you order it I would love to know how it works for you. I did see the new cardigans and Chloe should have a review of one of them coming up soon…Jessica – Me too! LOL. If only I had an unlimited budget. I wouldn't use it towards clothing exclusively, but I would certainly buy that whole look.nina – thank you for posting! The sale thread from Tuesday is still active, so feel free to post there as well if you'd like. :)triciathomas – I would be completely OK with an Anthro store becoming my closet. I'd even give away all the clothing that wasn't my size! aimee – haha, I do have that effect on people! Wait for sale with me.Jesspgh of Consume or Consumed – I saw the Empire State Set in-person and it's so cute. I am terribly tempted to just get it.Allie S. – Stay strong! We can wait it out together.

I am a sucker for dresses. There are 2 on my wishlist that I will probably cave for at full price – the sugar and cream dress and the vestiges dress. Also high on my wishlist is that ruffian mise en scene jacket. As well as more shoes than I would like to mention 😡

I tried on the Acres of Land Cardi last Tuesday it hit me at mid hip and I am 5'2. I hope that gives you some perspective. I sadly decided to wait until it goes on sale (yes, I am being optimistic 🙂 )

Bought the Fountain Overflowing Tee immediately after seeing it in the catalogue. So pretty! This baby will never meet the washing machine. I usually take a medium and they only had small. Oh well, free shipping means no-risk return!
