Ade was nice enough to send along a photo as well as a quick writeup for us all to digest. She even threw in a review of the Beda Dress ($118, above). On to the mini-guest post…

Hi all, and thanks Roxy for letting me share a mini-review! For reference, I am a size 12 in dresses/structured blouses, but generally fit a medium in jersey tops (40” bust, 30” waist).

The first thing I grabbed was a blast from the past—the rare bloom tee, only this time in a purple print, with a cream and periwinkle flower. Like its predecessor, this top wasn’t really doing my bust any favors. The draping fell all funny and it was really tight around the back. In general I think I’d have to size up from the medium shown, which would probably make the neckline fall too low. A pass for me, but if any of you ladies missed this the first time around or prefer prints to solids, definitely keep an eye out for this version.

The next item I tried on was the Beda Dress ($118). Some of the reviews suggested sizing down, however I wasn’t able to get the 10 zipped up, so the photo is of the size 12. I’d say if you don’t have a very large bust you might be able to size down on this one. I loved the summer-y feel and slightly poofy skirt of the dress (and it is lined and made of pretty substantial fabric, so no problems with the white color).

Unfortunately, while the 12 fit well in the bust, the waist was at least a few inches too big. I’d either have to get it taken in or belt it, which might actually work well to provide a pop of color. Also, at 5’4” the dress was a few inches below my knees, so I’d probably like to take off 3-4 inches.

In general, my store was not too stocked with new arrivals… seems like we need a sale to clear some things out! 🙂
