I have noticed a lot of community members sharing in-store deals and spots in the comments of various posts. Inspired by the weekly Seek & Find posts started by the lovely Alexis over at J.Crew Aficionada, I think now is a good time to start a similar weekly post here.
This post is for community members to trade information. You can ask for help in finding an item, report back on what you saw in-store at your local Anthro, ask general questions, make a request, or just stop by to say hello. I love how helpful this community can be!
Some FAQs….
– What does “sub” mean?
It means that people are subscribing to the comment thread. You can do this by checking the “send follow-up comments to x email address” box in the comment form.
– Someone in the comments said they wanted to buy an item from me, but it’s been x hours and I haven’t heard squat. What should I do?
I give people 24 hours for the benefit of the doubt. After that move on to the next person that contacted you.
– Someone said they returned an item at the store 20 minutes ago but I just called the store and it’s gone. What gives?!?
A store associate might have taken a fancy to it or a customer might have grabbed it. Maybe it’s just at the bottom of a big ol’pile. Unfortunately, you’re out of luck.

lindsey.elizabeth, I tracked down a size 10 Manisa dress a couple of days ago and it's on it's way to me but if it doesn't work out, you'll be the first to know. I had a hard time finding it – took a lot of calling but CS said it was sold out and I knew I'd be able to find one eventually. If you get any leads on other sizes, will you let me know? Hi everyone-I was just at the Shrewsbury store in NJ and they had a couple of hard to find items, including oen Always a Lady skirt in medium, and the other popular sweater skirt with the chiffon roses on it (I'm blanking on the name) in an XS for 39.95. Also, a couple of Lacemaker skirts (maybe a 4 and a 6), various smaller sized Scalloped clouds skirts, that belt with the squirrel (in a small I think), and a ton of other stuff in the sale room that I am blanking on now. I was wondering if any of you had experience of buying Anthro furniture right from the store ? I want to buy bird-cut armoire, but sold out. However, I saw the same armoire at Anthro store I visited couple months back (few hours away from where I live). Do this store will sell it or not since it was used as display for clothes ?

Theodora–Not sure, but it should be soon. It's part of their Spring Cleaning. Then they get a whole mess of new stuff in. Maybe the SA will know when you call. They do it every year around this time.
Rooby, earlier this week Chicago had the silken trellis dress (style#933211) in a size 6 – the catch was that the zipper was broken (but the dress itself was fine – and it's easy to replace a zipper if you know or can find a good seamstress!) Has anyone had any luck actually wearing the Shape Shifter Cardigan as a sweater coat/dress? I just received a medium and it seems like when you wear it as a coat the sleeves must be worn more like a dolman style with the arm seams coming off the shoulder. It seems really uncomfortable. something strange just happened on anthro's website.I've had the Night Skating Top in my cart forever and today I was thinking I would just buy it even though all sizes are on backorder. So I clicked on the picture to read a few more reviews and it says the item is out of stock, but just a few minutes ago ALL sizes were on backorder. I can't believe that all size went out of stock at within a few minutes.Think this is just a glitch?

Betty, My guess is that it would partly depend on the brand. My experience has been great with Dwell's line. I bought the entire Chinoiserie set last year and it has held up extremely well. It's 100% percale cotton, so it's very sturdy, plus any stains have washed out easily. The obvious plus of any of the Anthro bedding is the feelings you get from the aesthetic value. Seeing my gorgeous bedding every day fills me with such happiness 🙂

Betty–I have three sets of Anthro bedding and I love each and every single one! The thread count on average is 300. I own the Wisteria Bedding (from 2006/2007) and I still have the duvet cover. One of the pillow cases ripped, but that's from wear and tear and not due to quality. It's heavily embroidered on light mint green cotton.Currently, I have the Waterloo Quilt (gift from wonderful boyfriend). It;s super soft, warm, and aesthetically pleasing.Their bedding/home things are not cheap. Sometimes, they will go on sale. Sometimes, the go on sale, and then come back in stock full price. I have no reservation shelling out a couple of hundred dollars for the bedding, and I would happily do so for any that catches my eye. I'm thrilled that they are carrying sheet sets, and I've considering a couple of different ones.Can you tell I am a big fan? I also spend a lot of time looking at beddings and everything on the market that I could find within this price range is just too frilly, too much, too dark, not me. Their bedding and home collection has held me steady through the years even while their clothing may not have.

ZengirlThat shape shifter cardigan is a terrible fit. The shoulders don't actually line up with your shoulders and it has that weird hard seam so if you try to wear it on your shoulders it falls down and then it is too tight on your arme. I thought it might just not work on my frame but I had a sales associate who was tiny try it on and it was the same for her. I think that is why it got marked down so much. I was bummed because I thougt it was super cute in the catalogue but I knew it would drive me crazy while wearing it.Carmen

I bought a size 0 Kai coat in camel for 89 dollars.
