Styled: Unexpected Treasures Cardi

This post is for Bronzi, who asked for styling options for the Unexpected Treasures Cardi ($118) by Guinevere.

The trinkets lining the neckline of this cardigan is terrific but I also love the coral color. Bronzi asked for work options so we styled for a casual work environment. The shape and length of the cardigan are pretty straightforward. So we picked a mix of color and textures here, starting with the fun tweed skirt. The top has a fun bold print that can stand with the skirt if you take the cardigan off. Since it’s cold outside we picked thick tights and shoes with a low, manageable heel. A buttery satchel finishes off the look.

Ruched Pansy Tee ($68)
New Academia Skirt ($98)
Striped Tights ($18)
Carraroe Heels ($80)
Frenesi Posts ($28)
Banyan Blush Satchel (similar here and here)

We’ve got holidays on the brain so we wanted to find a way to give this outfit a festive touch. The gold skirt seems to do the trick. It’s also a great length for a younger trendy look, hitting at or just above the knee. It would be easy to do a long pencil skirt with this cardigan as well if you work in a more conservative office environment.

We picked a tie blouse on purpose — we think the tie will look great sitting on top of the cardigan. The large blue bag is an upscale touch but we kept everything else simple black. The cardigan is still the star here.

Roxy: thanks alot for the styling options and I happen to own the New Academia skirt as well, so option 1 really works for me. Enjoy your time away. I luckily managed to make it to FL on Sat. and will be checking out the 2 Anthro's down here.

Question for you! I just bought a Moyna shrug/shell from Anthro. Not sure what it is called, and I can't find it online. It is absolutely AMAZING– sewn with gold beads and sequins. I desperately need your styling help on it, though. Have you seen it?

Ahhh, I love those bow heels! I wish they weren't so pricey, though! I have an outfitting request. I just bought the Vie en Rose dress, and I know that I can EASILY wear this gorgeous dress out – but, I would love to see some options for dressing it down :).
