The package as cool as the gift

Good morning ladies! There was a very tiny sale update comprised of homewares. I am not sure if that was it for the week or if Anthropologie is just throw us off from Tuesday reliability. Since everything on my wishlist is still full price it’s let me pining for an Anthropologie gift card.

One thing I love about their gift cards is that they don’t come on a boring blister card or in a basic envelope. Each season Anthropologie rotates in a fun new gift card holder that only increases my amazement. Over the summer they went with a bird theme. Earlier in the fall they seemed to go where the wild things were. Their latest holder (at the top of this post) also seems monster-related but on a much cuter scale.

I’m not sure if these designs are by Lizania Cruz, who made last year’s birthday card or if another artist was commissioned. Either way they’re really cute and mini works of art themselves. It’s been fun buying contest gift cards and seeing the different designs each time. (There will be another contest pretty soon. Stay tuned.)

Have you received an Anthropologie gift card? What did your holder look like? Or are you hoping for one this year?

Hey Roxy,I am running to one of the NYC anthro's today to return a pair of shoes. I normally only go to the one near me out in Jersey, but needed to return a pair of shoes. (lilac ombre's in a size 7 in case anyone is interested!!) anyway, do you recommend Rockefellar or Soho in terms of selection if i want to browse through some of the sale racks? Thanks!!~amy

Hi Amy, my vote is for Soho right now. Tons of stuff and there's {slightly} more room to maneuver than at Rock Center.Natalie – ditto. We have such great sisters!

I love this gift card holder – I think it looks like a little monster (a cute one). I don't really have anyone that will be a giving me a gift card – happy for all of you that will be reciving one. I also love the "present for your present" package that they give you when you buy a gift – the string with the multi colored felt circles – I received that with 2 gift purchases so far recently.

My Mom just gave me a gift card for my B-day. My husband thinks the gift card holder looks like a monster (a scary one). I tied the string with the felt circles around my daughters head. It looked like she was ready to sing "Age of Aquarius"! Anyway, can't wait to use the card!

Do you guys remember a couple years ago it was a mustard yellow mitten? It was adorable! I now have it hanging on my Christmas tree as an ornament!

Hi Roxy, FYI the housewares were actually put on sale yesterday. I noticed a bunch of items and many things have already sold out. So this week was another Tuesday update 🙂 I'm hoping for an adorable gift card too!

Loraine, That must have been so cute 🙂 I saved the felt string to send to my niece – many cute uses other than tying a gift. Oh and I'm glad to see someone as excited as me to see all the housewares that were added to sale. The store near me was overflowing with even more than the website. So many great things…also they reduced the prices of some plates and candles 🙂

I love the giftcard holders as well. I'm tempted to buy a $5 giftcard for myself just to get one! The little monsters actually have a name…Teefe!

I want to know how to make a little pocket like that. They are so cute I want to make some more for myself. Any idea where I could find some info on how to do that?
