Wish List: November 2009

1. Mixed Media (sparkles, ruffles and studs)
While I always admire the streamlined chic walking the streets of New York City, my style leans more towards texture and shape. A bit of eye candy never hurts. This month I’m craving the Frayed Diamonds Necklace ($168), the Ripple Effect Scarf ($78) and the Sun-Studded Belt ($38).

2. Yummy corduroy
Part sailor and part dressage jacket, Idra’s Skirted Peacoat ($168) looks like the perfect coat to wrap myself up in between fall and winter. Not that I need another coat mind you. I guess that’s why this is a wish list!

3. On the cowl.
I learned a new word from the product description for the Sweeping Frills Sweater ($128). That would be panoply. I’m excited for this one based on the product shot though I’m afraid it might be a bit over the top in real life. Hopefully this one will be in stores soon so I can try it on.

4. A knee-slapping budget-buster.
Am I nervous about over the knee boots? Heck no! At least not when they’re as tastefully done as the Ternate Boots ($525). Yes the price is very high but they are comparable to designer over the knee boots I’ve seen. I will search for comparable boots for less but if I can’t find them I’m willing to spend the money for boots as delicious as these.

5. Heels, heels, heels!
Seriously Anthropologie, please stop carrying such cute shoes. I’m embarrassed to admit how many pairs of shoes I already own yet somehow I want 6 more? And that’s not counting the boots above. In the photo above, starting top left and moving clockwise: Moss Rose Mary-Janes ($338), Stacked Smoke Heels ($388), Wandering Platforms ($158), Bouquet-Of-Roses Heels ($138), Blazing Tweed Pumps ($98) and Ganache Pumps ($98)

6. *cough* Sale *cough*
Dear Anthropologie, please move the following items to your sale so I can buy them! In the photo above, starting top left and moving clockwise: Inverness Trench ($188, review here), Soft Drapes Blouse ($88, review here) in navy, Party Petal Skirt ($148, review here), Plaid Petals Skirt ($148, review here), Cosmos Constellation Skirt ($228) and Checkered, Please Jacket ($178, review here).

What’s on your wish list for November? Complimentary shipping to Canada, perhaps?

Funny you should mention complimentary shipping to Canada! At these prices, Anthropologie makes buying of their website somewhat of a sin. Add to that the fact that the Canadian website has NO SALE SECTION and no posting appropriate word can describe what Anthro is doing to its Canadian customers. They have three BM stores here so far, I don't see why we can't benefit from sale prices, and have to pay close to $50+ for shipping and customs fees. I'm just saying!!! MANY website ship for WAY cheaper and give us access to sales (I know thay cant help custom fees..so ship from HERE you know) …my 5 cent!

    I **love** the Constellation Skirt.

Hey Anon – I hear your frustrations!! I, too, don't see why we can't take part in the free shipping. However I did want to let you know that you actually can access the sale prices. The Canadian website doesn't show a sale section, but if you "Login as a US User" then you can access the sale section and purchase whatever you want. Also, if you do an item search on the Canadian website for a piece that is on sale, it will show up and then you can purchase it that way, too! You just have to be sneaky about it 🙂

I really like the Skirted Peacoat. Also, the ice-capped blouse is on my list.I bought another pair of shoes yesterday at Anthro. The Crossway Heels. They are soldout online, so I was pretty surprised when the SA informed me that yes, there is one size 7 left. I bought it.I never buy shoes at full price, but I don't know what Anthro is doing to me lately. I bought the scarf-tied oxfords that arrived in the mail a couple of weeks ago, I've ordered the bouquet of roses heels, and when when I saw these, I just couldn't say no.So when I am out of money, at least my feet can still look pretty.

You have great items on your list roxy. Mine is probably about 50 miles long at this point, but on the top are: The Elodie Lily Cardigan, the Verite Dress, the Converging Roads Sweaterdress, Skirted Peacoat, and on and on. You should get the Checkered, Please Jacket, I love and wear mine so much!

Hazel–if you get some foot inserts, it might help with the sliding. If you're talking about the Luxe dotted tights, GET THEM!They are fantastic, and are easily the best pair of tights I own. I love how they shimmer and change according to light. The hand finished seams are wonderful. They don't go on like tights, but like pants. And the material is very durable, and I feel that they are sturdy.

I also wish they had free Canadian shipping. Sorry anthro, but no matter how much I ogle your goods there is no way I am paying exorbitant shipping and customs fees just to try something.-K

I have the Sun Studded Belt and just love it. I managed to get a brown in a medium by having Anthro CS do a search. You will love it.
