Lucky Magazine, my guilty pleasure in print, is reporting that Corey Lynn Calter will debut a line of pillows at Anthropologie in October. Inspired by night creatures, the line features dreamlike patterns and appliques and enough details to justify prices between $98 and $140. These puffy faceplants are one of the best cases I’ve seen recently of home goods imitating clothing. Couldn’t those two in the second row easily be a top? Or a dress? I suppose that’s kind of the point. Love the designs.
You may have heard this already, but Anthropologie is officially going to open a store in London, hopefully by the end of the year:http://www.forbes.com/2009/07/20/fashion-shopping-cities-lifestyle-style-shopping-retail.html
AL – I did hear and I'm excited! Although the location Anthro chose seems to be pretty controversial.
