Reviews: Steep Stairs Tank & Buzios Halter

The Steep Stairs Tank ($78) prompted this first reaction from me: laughter. Put this shirt together in spandex and you’d have a disco-to-80s winner. I do not mean that as a good thing. But in real life this shirt was surprisingly tempting. Though I am terrible at math I have a love of geometry and angles in my clothing. This shirt fits the bill.

It’s a pretty flowy top. The top of it is structured and it pulls in a bit at the waist for a nice shape but then the bottom is pleated to an almost tent-like degree. Anyone who fears pregnant belly appearance may want to steer clear of this shirt. I loved it though because when I twirled it caught the air and moved — perfect for a casual dance party. I will have to go back to the store to double-check the brand (update coming). I sized down a small and it fit great.

Continuing on the same colorblocked theme, Edme & Esyllte’s Buzios Halter ($78) is hard to spell but easy to wear. This is a much more structured top that says summer, beach and ice cream. Smocking in the back made for an easy fit. The pleating softly drifts away from the body slightly but in a flattering way. I sized down 2 sizes to a 4 for the best fit.

I just bought a few online on sale and got them yesterday- so fun. I like these halters but by the time the weather warms up around here they will be on sale.

Ooh, I LOVE that halter tank! So adorable! OT question for ya…I remember you buying the Compass Points tee a while back…how did you find the fit? I have another C. Keer top that I had to size down to an xs, but that top was more loose-fitting than this one looks; just wondering if the sizing in this top is similar. TIA!

AppGal, I am sorry it took me so long to get back to you on this! I tried on the Compass Points tee in both a small and a medium and ended up with the medium. I felt like the small was a bit too tight on my chest and belly. I also normally size down in C.Keer.
