On the right person maybe…Deller’s Element Jumper

I go back and forth on the Deller’s Element Jumper ($288). At first my reaction was, GASP! A jumper??!? But the more I look at it the more I like it, especially with the styling in the catalog (photo above). It has a Katherine Hepburn quality to it that makes it seem very classic.

Then again, I don’t think I would ever wear this. I just can’t think of a single occasion where this would work for me. Maybe the Kentucky Derby (with the hat shown in the photo) and I don’t mean that sarcastically. But I would not wear this to work, on the weekend or even on a Sunday drive. While beautiful it seems a bit costume-y to me.

What do you think of the Deller’s Element Jumper?

I luv it! It, too, has that retro, Hepburn-esque quality to me that I love. In my life though, I don't see it having a place. In another life perhaps. Or on Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl :-P.

I think I could get away with wearing it to work with a jacket. Alas, I know it will not work on my 5'2" frame!

I saw this in the catalog and loved the look of it– although I didn't realize it was all one piece. I would wear it (I'm 5'10" so I can probably carry it off) but I do think it would be much better as two pieces as torso lengths do differ so much.

I love the way it looks, but I saw it in the store the other day, and the fabric just seems a bit too much on the thin side. On me, I know it definitely wouldn't work, but I wish I could wear things like this! It's so vintage-inspired – I'm jealous for those who can rock it!

No, no, no. I hate the jumpsuit. I should qualify, I hate any jumpsuit. I once worked with a women (she was an office manager) who wore a nylon sweatsuit type jumpsuit with heels! I know, I know, the Anthropologie jumpsuit is far superior, but still, jumpsuits rarely flatter anyone. I too liked it a first look, but when i realized it was one piece, I quickly turned the page.

I am scared given all the trends I see coming down the pike and im magazines: jumpsuits, acid washed and rippedjeans, harem pants (eek!). It's like the 80s called and wants to come back.I hope Anthropologie does not succumb to these trends. But maybe if they do I can save some money!

my first reaction was that it had that classic, carefree Hepburn look i've so often wished for my own wardrobe. however, the jumpsuit does make this piece only work for those who have the exact torso that it was originally made for. would have worked beautifully as separate pieces. but i will complement the picture in the catalog!

You definitely have to be tall in order to pull this one off. Or, wear 4 inch heels.
