Anthropologie is updating their website, and the Outfits section is their latest new page. They sent an email to slyly announce it. Their angle is ‘plan now for Spring later.’ Well OK, but I still love winter!
I can’t say that I think these outfits would be practical even in Spring where I live, but they are lovely! The first outfit is my favorite (shown in photo above). But really, wouldn’t all these clothing retailers be doing better if they just stuck to the season we’re actually in? I could use some more sweaters for instance but most stores have evacuated them in favor of Spring goodies. Yay?
I am ready for spring. Today we made it to 24 degrees. I have bought my clothes for the and I want clothes for spring. Granted, I have a low tolerance for most everything. I like to look at transitional items. Heck, I just want new all the time. There was a section in last months InStyle about how to wear your summer stuff while it is still cold. Layer, tights, boots. I like the blue dress. A new blue print I think is is called.
I have been complaining since October about the lack of winter merchandise in stores, it's been bizarre. Limited had maybe 2 (not practical for winter) sweaters, and the short sleeved sweaters (again, not practical) have been popular. Then, merchandise in many stores turned over 1 or 2 more times and STILL no sweaters! Now it's spring!? I'm bitterly rotating through my few turtlenecks and not ready for spring shopping yet.
