Anthropologie for the home: Am I missing out?

Though most of it is quite expensive, I love Anthropologie’s home goods. In fact, the mini picture in the top right corner of this blog is currently devoted to my two favorite home pieces: the Cirrus Bedding and the Cosmina Coverlet (no longer online it seems).

Every time I browse the home goods Anthro seems to have catalogue-style photos for them, yet I haven’t received a home catalog in over a year. What gives? Is anyone else still receiving the home goods catalogue and I am just missing out? Perhaps only a limited number are printed.

I feel like I’m missing out because I really do draw inspiration from Anthro’s home goods. I love the way they bring the outdoors in — it really fits with my decorating style. Their upholstery patterns are sometimes a bit too bold for me but I love their color choices and patterns in rugs, curtains and pillows. A friend of mine owns the Milo Sofa and it is stunning. Someday my budget may allow for some Anthropologie home decorating. In the meantime I’d like a home catalogue to admire from afar.

I also like their furniture and bedding, even though it really wouldn't "fit" in our home. Plus, I have no room for anything else. But I love the Astrid Chair in the Helsinki Floral. And it is on sale. If I had a place for it… I sat in one in the dressing room at the store. Very nice! As for the bedding, a bit expensive since I have pets. They sleep on the bed. Maybe someday when I have better trained pets, I can have fancy bedding.

Haha, I just adopted two cats over the holidays and I live in constant fear that they will claw through my quilt. Such is the life!

I really do not think the quality is that good for the price. Besides, you can find similar items in vintage/thrift/antique stores and cover them with your own paint or fabric. The same look for just a fraction of the price.

I love their home items. I have the Chika quilt and shams and just purchased the Phoebe Bird Sheets (on sale!!). I love them all. The quilt is the perfect weight. It was a little pricey, but I feel that I have a unique piece that is very high quality. I have received a home catalog in some time, but I would love to get them if they still exist.

Chasity Munn, I do agree that you can find similar shapes at thrifts. I admit though that I don't have the talent to recover. It's a skill I'd love to learn sometime!

I have the "treetop" bedding from last season, bought on sale. I really like it but I have yet to put it on the bed until we move—it will be my way of celebrating the new house! So it is sitting in my storage unit, waiting for me.Sometimes the prices on the linens are high but when they go on sale they are really quite reasonable and on par with other places, even Kohl's!
