Email: Days remain

Anthropologie’s latest email is a reminder: if you live in the United States, you have 5 days left to get free standard shipping on your online order of over $200. I personally have taken advantage twice and both orders went very smoothly.

One interesting thing I noticed: my first order was large items and it shipped via UPS. But my second order was pretty small and shipped via USPS. I don’t mind either way and this is pretty common for smaller to mid-sized retailers. It was much harder to track the USPS package though; the two statuses were pretty much in transit and delivered.

Have you taken advantage of the free shipping offer? Do you plan to?

Let's see…I bought the Vaquero Boots, 4 sets of Dandelion Greens Flatware, the Travertine Ring (which was beautiful but I returned it because it was too big on me), the Finishing Touch necklace, the Quiet Mirth top, the Ease & Glee sweatercoat (also returned, the red was not the shade I thought it would be) and the Follow-the-Leader cardigan. Some of that stuff was gifts, some for me. =) Did you order anything Cali Girl?

I used it three times. I kept: two pairs of Nelly shoes (one red, one dark grey), the tranquil pool sweater coat, a sweater dress ornament in grape (bought on sale), and a dress form ornament in pink (also on sale).I returned: buckle and sway skirt in grey (too light a grey, I have the black which I love and that is plenty); curl and twirl sweater in green, august tee in purple (just did not fit tright), literary foil tee (too small), and rismal sweetheart tee (just did not lay right). I am glad to have an Anthro ten minutes from my house so I can do returns. They know me by name there. I usually need to order online because I sometimes need a XL or 14 and my store rarely carries these sizes. I wish they had a "red phone" like J.Crew does so I would not have to pay shipping if ordering from the store!

I also wanted to say that I like it when Anthro ships using USPS. That way you have an extra day to get the package, since USPS does Saturday delivery, while UPS does not. Also, I am glad they have such a nice return policy. It makes the return process so much more pleasant at the store (J.Crew could learn a lesson here).

i've purchased the remember me surplice, inland more v-neck (pink), ribbons and ridges cardi (ivory), chilled sunburst scarf, site reading cardigan, and frosted meadow cardigan.i'm returning the scrollwork blouse (love the color/design, dislike the way it fits in the bust, poofs out like a maternity top and is too short for my torso) and the blured fields v-neck (this one is hard for me. i love it! but it looks terrible on… even with a sweater it makes my long torso look short and chubby.)i have made a point to stay away from the store the last two weekends, but today i'm going to exchange the two tops. hopefully for the quiet mirth top and something else… 🙂 unless something on my wish list (paiva top, one hundred summits dress) goes on sale i probably won't buy again online.

Jacquelyn,I was in an Anthro a few weeks ago and wanted a necklace they were out of. They didn't do this before, but they offered to call CS while I was in the store and order the items and it would be free shipping (didn't end up doing it). I know they do this for b/w store search shipments, but this was the first I heard about actually calling CS/warehouse. You should check on this at your store.
