A little baggage

What is the quickest way to tell the difference between a city mouse and a country mouse? Look at the size of their bag. While my weekends in Connecticut were spent with an over-the-shoulder satchel these days my city self travels with a huge hobo that could be probably be licensed as a deadly weapon in several states.

But if you must carry a large bag, go in style. Anthropologie’s bags have long enthralled me. They have a knack for picking interesting colors and materials. Their line is almost always 90% hits and 10% neutral to misses. Currently there are several bags available I’m eyeing.

Meteors & Might Bag
All shades of yellow seem to be the it color this fall,
and I’m stretching that to include gold and bronze.
This bag is absolutely gorgeous and would go with just
about any outfit.

Snapping Lawns Bag
A warm green that could pop against a navy
or brown outfit, or blend in with warm yellows.
A zip pocket inside helps organize all your things.

Loop & Purl Bag
This bag is perfect for some weekend shopping or
a quick errand. The zip closure protects your items
(a must-have for me) but the arm holes are
a wee bit small for my taste.

Broma Process Satchel
This hobo’s earthy cognac color makes it
an appealing choice for a day out and about.
Pair it with a large, long sweater; skinny jeans
and tall boots for a casual chic look.

Spearmint Tote
Don’t let the scale of the image fool you —
this bag can fit everything you need
for a day lazing about in the sun.
Enjoy the Indian Summer with this
fun tote. I love the pattern.

Overcast Bag
By far my favorite bag of the season,
this bag combines suede and ruching.
And really, how can you go wrong with that?
This bag could make the transition from day
to most nights. Just make sure you keep
an eye on this looker all nite.
