I don’t have a fireplace and this time of year I really miss it. Nothing is better on a cold night that a warm fire to snuggle up to. I was cruising through Anthropologie’s special holiday section looking for curiosities to give as hostess gifts when I stumbled across the Illume Pine Cone Fire Starters ($24) shown in the photo above.
What a treat! I love the smell of pine cones on the fire. Admittedly it reminds me a bit more of camping then winter but the sweetness of it would be wonderful to burn during a get-together. Maybe I can convince my old housemates to let me try some out next time I visit. These cones would also look great as decoration. I can almost smell the sweet pine now.
