OOTD: The workout to and fro

When I’m on the go, having clothes with movement is a beautiful thing…

Sure you can wear your workout wear back and forth to the gym — ain’t nothing wrong with that! But when my schedule called for a quick morning workout followed by day into night of running around to shows and work events during Fashion Week, something a little more fun and, you know, fashion-y was called for. This might just be my new workout uniform! I love the idea of something just a bit above my classwear — I went to the gym, and then from the gym to work in this look (a couple of times during the week, ahem). The leggings here are the most comfortable pair I’ve ever owned, and their moto shape and coated look gives them an extra element of appeal.

In this outfit I’m wearing two borrowed items — an absolutely killer Alexis Bittar ring that got lots of interest and compliments and an even more amazing leather jacket. This jacket is heavy in every sense of the word. In fact just wearing it was a bit of a workout! But on the super chilly days we had during Fashion Week, I was pleased with how warm and comfy I felt in this baby. It’s on my wishlist now for sure. On sizing note, I’m wearing the coat in an x-small because it’s the only size The Arrivals provided to bloggers (sigh) but to purchase I’d go right up to my usual medium. Thank you, Shopstyle, for lending these two beautiful items out to me!

And then there is the beautiful blue pop of color in this outfit. If love is wanting to wear the same piece of clothing day after day, then this beautiful, comfy, flowy Free People thermal top must be it. It pairs so well with a camisole or lacy bra (or both) and is the ideal layer above my workout gear. I expect this item to be a closet staple for a long, long time. When it comes to movement, Free People knows how to nail it.

Another look with this thermal coming to OOTDs soon!!

That's a really stunning outfit, so comfy and casual but so put together. The leggings look so comfortable, I really want a pair of those now haha

Adorable! Loving the different textures, it's very eye catching. I'm not one for wedge sneakers, but the way you've styled this makes it work.

Thanks LoobyLibby!! The wedge sneakers are so comfy, and I get all the benefits of a heel without having to worry about cobblestones and such. 🙂

I like it! It's so realistic for those days spent running around but you want to look more put together…certainly SO much better than when I come crawling out of the gym and have to do a bunch of errands.

Off topic, there's a code for $50 off at Eileen Fisher if you spend $100+. It's MISSYOU (excludes system pieces).

Wow that's quite the code Ann, thank you for sharing!!
