Last month I reviewed the Plaza Cardigan (scroll down to the bottom of the post) which quickly sold out online. Over the past week the gorgeous Moth piece has started making its way into stores. I haven’t seen it pop up online yet and my prediction is that when it does it will be under a new item name. Update: It’s back online, still called the Plaza Cardigan ($128).
In-store I did not see the creamy color above but I did see the cardigan in grey, black and dark pink. When I ordered this item I’d gotten a large because Moth items sometimes run small. What a mistake. So in-store I grabbed a medium to try on. That was still too big! The pics below are a small.
It’s such a fun piece! It’s a little hard to close because the buttons are sometimes in front of the ruffles and sometimes behind. But once on it’s just so great. The material is very soft and warm. The sleeves are slightly ruched and tapered at the wrist.
I had returned the cream version and have been thinking about it a lot since then. But even though it was difficult I put this one back on the rack too. Cute as it is I don’t live the kind of lifestyle where I’d get a lot of use from this sweater. For anyone who attends glamorous parties or is out and about a lot, this sweater would be a great fall to early winter top piece.
OMG… dark pink sounds yum. I should have waited to see it comes to the store to score one. That said, last time I hunted down for the grey (the creamy one on the pic), it tooked me 2 full days to call around asking about it. Like I said before, most of the store still have the black one.>__<" don't want to buy the same item twice, but this cardi looks so awesome!!
Really… you put it back??? It looks so cute on you!!! I (me) would look like a real rufflepotamus in it! Not good! How about with jeans and a cute pair of boots in the fall? Would it look weird? It really is flattering!
Oh no, I had just gotten "Hiphop-potamus" out of my head and now it's back.I'm the hip hop hippopotamus, my lyrics are bottomless… I love that cardigan on you! It looks great. I have a feeling it'll be overwhelming on me, though. BUT I'LL STILL TRY IT! 🙂
