Yep it’s a romper. A pants romper. And I tried it on.
Sine strikes again with their Bow-Bound Romper ($188.00). I grabbed a size 8 which fit mostly fine. The inseam (34″) cannot be accurate — this is more like 33″. And it was also a bit tight around my crotch. My midsection isn’t really built for romperpants so it looked appropriately miserable there. If I were buying this romper I’d probably buy a 10.
The top needed some good steaming to get the petals into place. But otherwise it looks OK. The sash is much better in the model shot than what I got. It’s long but thin and kind of sad. The material was good quality. Not to my taste but very nicely done.
This is the Hydrangea Flurry Vest ($228) from Lawan by Koi Suwannagate. Wow. This piece is every bit what I’d expect at that price. It’s incredibly soft and each petal seems to be carefully placed for maximum effect. The petals continue onto the back. I tried on a medium which fit, though it was pretty fitted to my body.
This item wasn’t even on my radar before but now it’s on my wishlist. For winter with a layer underneath it would be great party wear, and come spring you could wear this with just a liner layer underneath.
I have been waiting impatiently for Knitted & Knotted’s Hues Unfolding Cardi ($128) to be in-store. It was displayed in-store over the Flourishing Obi ($88, review here). I started with the medium (far right) but it was far too big on me and didn’t look right. Sizing down to a small did the trick.
The sweater is a mix of wool and acrylic (boo). I found the sleeves to be nice and long and you’ll probably want to cuff them as the product shots shows. I put this on pullover-style but there is one button if you prefer to wear this open. The sweater comes with a spool for darning and an extra button (I thought this was a nice touch). It’s such a uniquely-designed piece. I want it!
Cool, I'm glad you reviewed the Hues Unfolding Cardi it's been on my wishlist for a while. The vest looks really good on you too.
Roxy, I am in love with the Hydrangea Flurry Vest — so stunning on you! I just tried on the Flower Patch Wrap last week, and was enamored, so I think we can conclude that I have a propensity for too-expensive-for-my-budget flower-part-adorned shoulder garments 🙂
Love the Hues Unfolding Cardi on you! Thanks for including this one, I have been loving it online for a while and it's great to see that it's just as nice on a real person as it is online 🙂
I, too, like the vest. I am not sure how I would wear it -you know, no sleeves, but it is so pretty and yes, so expensive! It would be great for a casual New Year's party (maybe I'll have the baby, lose the weight and have time to go shopping before then HA!).And the romper. I give you major points for even trying it (and not looking rotten). Rompers are for 1 year olds and young women with no curves. I doubt my butt (pregnant or not) would even fit in it! Still, the top is pretty. Do the rompers usually end up on super sale?
The Deller's Element Jumper made it to sale. I think there's a good chance this one will too. Since it's by Sine other sites might end up carrying it too.
Roxy, another set of oh so helpful reviews. Thanks for all you're doing! Any chance you could review the Small Packages Cardi and Cecily Tunic? Thanks!
Rompers are such a hard thing! I have been wanting one of my own for awhile, but every time I try one on the fit is somehow off! I do like that this one looks really sophisticated and beautiful!
The hues unfolding cardi is SO CUTE on you! Thank you for the reviews!
Rompers can be hard to pull off, BUT I'M CONVINCED I CAN DO IT!!!!*flings cape over shoulder and leaps away*
*leaps back*Love the Hues Unfolding Cardi too. I've been making grabby hands at that sucker for awhile.*leaps away again*
Eesh, yes. I would think the crotch is a make or break area, in romper terms. Love the HUC!!! So cute!
