Let’s examine some of my favorite new items this morning and then I’d love to hear about yours…
I know it’s very early to be thinking about the holidays, but the first thing I thought when I saw the Lace Melange Pencil Dress ($298) was how perfect it will be to wear to work during that festive November-December period. Perhaps before then something like the Equine Dress ($138) would be divine.
A few other dresses I need to try are the Madera Maxi Dress ($228) which is all over Instagram right now — check out the product page to see, the Bleu de Jour Dress ($178) which is online only so thank goodness for that free shipping promo(!!), the Larkspur Midi Dress ($188) and the Mixte Silk Peasant Dress ($482) from my boo Anna Sui. Love her!!
I do have to mention that I’m not loving these weird angle shots — very hard to get an idea of the silhouette this way. As a 2nd or 3rd product shot this is perfect, but as the main shot with no frontal shot it’s hardly ideal. Several items I’m curious about including the Sophia Dress ($458), the Cour Royal V-Neck Dress ($148), the Port Royale Beaded Tunic ($148) and the Poppy Pocket Tunic (now $95, on promo, a Field Flower design!!) suffer from the same issue.
but I definitely adore it! It also comes in a beautiful warm yellow.
Over in tops-land the Bell-Sleeve Lace Blouse (now $95, on promo) looks enticing though again the weird angle of the product shot has me dubious. I also like the Belle Poplin Blouse (now $79, on promo), the Elsinora Lace Top (now $63, on promo), and the Lua Pointelle Vest (now $111, on promo).
I gave the Impresario Coat ($495) its own post but it’s worth mentioning again here because it’s that gorgeous!!
