Anthropologie’s Made in Kind capsule page is due for an update tomorrow! Though most of the newest designs are being kept under wraps, one designer collaboration has been in the spotlight for the last week or so…
Tomorrow’s new Made in Kind unveilings will include a capsule by Peter Som! He is a natural fit for Anthropologie when you think about it. He designs feminine shapes, florals are a mainstay in his arsenal and occasionally he comes out with exactly the kind of fantastical prints an Anthro fan would love. It’s no wonder he’s teamed up with Anthropologie for the newest Made in Kind designs.
Unconvinced? Here are just a couple of looks from his Spring 2013 RTW collection. Tell me these wouldn’t be at home in an Anthropologie store…
Designer prices would likely induce fainting spells, so the Made in Kind capsule distills design, fabric and price point to a slightly more reasonable level. Prices of these items will range from $128 to nearly $400. This is hundreds less than a designer Peter Som piece would retail for and I’m delighted to get a chance at a less wallet-burning price.

This capsule collection was inspired by Manhattan’s Flower District. Anthropologie has a vimeo with Som making a bouquet. It’s adorable!
