Anthropologie starts a shoe & boot promo!!

Oh good! Now the Bettye Muller Bejeweled Ankle Strap Heels ($325) are 20% off!
So are all full-price shoesShown with: sweater | joggers

Before we begin, I would like to give one last word of thanks to you for the notes, emails, FB messages, and Instagram messages sending condolences and support after losing my Dad. Your warm, kind words have lifted my family and I during this difficult time. We laid him to rest yesterday on a beautiful, sunny but chilly day near the rest of his family, our family. I miss my Daddy so very much already but I’m so glad he’s at peace now and free of a body that no longer worked. Because some of you have asked in lieu of flowers we are asking donations to be made in my Dad’s name (Barry Domber) at the Bethel Volunteer Fire Department, 38 South Street, Bethel, CT 06801.

This is likely the last time I’ll mention it on the blog but I did want to pass along my thanks, even as my heart is aching terribly.

Could anything be more cathartic for me right now than shopping and talking about shopping? I think not! Luckily, Anthropologie is here to soothe me and spoil you with a new promo — 20% off full-price shoes and boots! Which pairs do we love? Inside, some that are making me drool, like the Bettye Muller Bejeweled Ankle Strap Heels ($325), above.

I’m in love with the Charlotte Stone Samia Velvet Heels ($289).

Truth be told, Anthropologie’s shoes are often ugly. And while that’s still true among many of the styles, I was surprised thumbing through the pages to see just how many I like. Take the Charlotte Stone Samia Velvet Heels ($289, above). These are such beautiful party shoes to me, and with holiday party season about to begin I feel torn between which color I’d like more.

Anthropologie seems to be aiming for a more upmarket customer with their shoe selection right now and I don’t think it’s a terrible idea. Routinely in their quarterly reports luxury department stores like Saks, Barney’s, and Bergdorf’s report shoes as a profit center and Anthro’s clearly been listening. So, there are many more $250+ shoe options than sub $200 options these days. Will it work for Anthro? Stay tuned.

Along with those delicious velvet heels, other soft and sexy options include the Marcela Ankle Strap Heels ($158) which I still want even though the weather now says these are evening, Lyft-only shoes for me; the Romea Ankle Strap Pumps ($178), the Huma Blanco Eleonora Loafers ($278), the Splendid Kendyll Peep-Toe Booties ($178) and the Miss Albright Benna Heeled Booties ($188) — the last of which looks particularly drool-worthy to me.

Practical with subtly beautiful details, the Color-Stack Booties ($178) are sure to be
closet staples, especially at 20% off!

Those Miss Albrights in the last paragraph are one of many, many pairs of boots I’d love to have in my closet right now. From the fabulously detailed to the tall and spectacular, my wishlist also includes the Candela Mercedes Boots ($368), the Huma Blanco Braided Suede Booties ($368), the Kelsi Dagger Brooklyn Harman Boots ($248, much too narrow for my calves, damn you Anthro!), the beautifully braided Lien.Do by Seychelles Monsaraz Booties ($168), the Hudson Ankti Woven Booties ($288), the Miss Albright Amarie Tassel Booties ($178) and the sooooooo velvety Hudson Velvet Apisi Ankle Boots ($248). Yum!

Have I lost my mind? Because I really like the Chaka Faux-Fur Camo Sneakers ($398).

Lastly, I have shoes on my wishlist from various categories. There are the functional Sorel Cate The Great Wedge Boots ($275), the salsa-ready Rachel Comey Coppa Heels ($415), the comfy-looking Lenora Rita Suede Heels ($388), the walkable D.A.T.E. Stardust Sneakers ($178) and the just plain fab Lien.Do by Seychelles Zamora Heels ($178).

I already own and recommend the following: the Jeffrey Campbell Bitsie Heels ($128) which run 1/2 a size small (I took a 9.5 instead of my usual 9), the Miss Albright Vanessa Flats ($128) which run TTS and are so, so pretty in the gold flecked color and the Kelsi Dagger Brooklyn Jordana Boots ($158) which I found to run wide on my narrow foot, so I sized down to an 8.5.

What might you get with 20% off full-price shoes and boots?
