My favorite new pretties at Anthropologie today

The newest color of the Fara Surplice Dress ($148) caught my attention.

My closet is ready for a few new goodies, but I keep getting distracted from the staples I’m searching for by all the new pretties landing at Anthropologie right now! From just a few items a few weeks ago I’m now trying to justify making room for ever pretties. New colors of items I hadn’t noticed before like the Fara Surplice Dress ($148) above. The latest version of Byron Lars’ sheath dress. (So yummy.) Yet another gorgeous black lace-trimmed top. A cute tunic dress whose print I adore.

Protecting the goods from voracious resellers. The sweatercardigan of many an Anthro lover’s dreams.

Sweater season is upon us and that’s brought the triumphant arrival of items like the Embroidered Foret Cardigan ($238). I’m so intrigued to see how this item does. To me, it’s quintessential Anthro. But will it sell like old Anthro did? That’s probably what Anthropologie wants to know too. Sleeping on Snow has a few pretties available right now — I’m also digging this boucle coat.

Floral prints continue to abound…

I’m a total sucker for 7FAM’s printed jeans!

…like these majorly pretty 7 For All Mankind jeans. Seems like every year I fall in love with a pair like this…might this be the Fall where I actually buy them? Also catching my eye are the newest black wash of Citizens of Humanity’s Racer Skinnies ($248), an amazing, incredibly low-rise jean that makes my butt look like no other. I size up two sizes in them since they sit right on my hips.

A look worthy of recreating: stole // top // skirt // boots

Anthropologie’s skirt department also seems to be developing nicely for Fall. Beside the Zella Mini Skirt ($178) above — does it not look mini to anyone else?? — I’ve recently added the Garden Glow Midi Skirt ($228), Floral Dreamscape Skirt ($185), Shangri-La Jacquard Skirt ($158), Emerald Bouquet Skirt ($245) and the super cool Vegan Leather Wrap Skirt ($174). Love that texture!

There are other new leather and faux arrivals that caught my eye. The Pilcro Vegan Leather Moto Pants ($148) look like interesting crops while at the other end of the pricing spectrum lies the Washed Leather Moto Jacket ($983) which I’m sure the literal sacrificial lamb is at least relieved to see that its pelt is worth quite a lot on the open market. Somewhere in between is the Sedna Suede Shift ($398) that looks to be either a delicious cinnamon brown or a warm oxblood color. Either one would be lovely!

So, what’s new to your Anthropologie wishlist or closet? What brands are missing right now? (Floreat? Has anyone seen Odille?)
