Watch your mailboxes Anthro fans!! An Earth Day gift may be on its way.

Who doesn’t like getting little gifts in the mail? Keep an eye on your mailboxes over the next several days as Anthropologie is sending a small group of fans a lovely little tote for Earth Day!

Community member Lorraine was among the lucky chosen to receive this super-cute tote! Part of Anthropologie’s skip-a-bag program, the tote is meant to carry your store-bought purchases home instead of the shopping bags usually used. Of course it won’t hold only Anthro goods — it’s an all-purpose tote.

Lorraine was kind enough to send along a bunch of photos so we can all get an idea of the pattern and scale:

I’m delighted! I think the tote is lovely and it’s a great way to help cut down on bag trash. Lord knows I have carried home enough Anthropologie shopping bags to build a fort. An Anthro fort. Made of ruffles and shopping bags.

A note with the bag mentions that each time you use the tote (or any time you don’t take an Anthro shopping bag during your purchase) the store donates $0.10 to the Edible Schoolyard project. So far over $52,000 has been donated! I try to remember to tell the SA when I don’t need a bag early in the transaction to make sure I’m adding that $0.10.

This tote is part of Anthropologie’s 2013 Earth Day program. Many stores will be hosting events; to check if your local Anthropologie is participating visit their Earth Day page.

Did you receive one of these totes? It’s only a small amount being mailed out so not everyone will get them. If you did receive one does yours look the same as the one shown here? I’m wondering if there are different patterns out there.
