Guest post by Bree: One item, Three ways

Hello fellow Anthropologie lovers! I’m Bree, and I blog over at Dream in Fashion, my self-declared fashion and lifestyle blog. I’m the kind of girl that takes pleasure in expressing myself through my outfits. But I’m also a rational girl, living on a budget that I can afford. Throw those things together, and you’ve got a financially-conflicted style blogger. So when I think about my wardrobe, I try to choose well-made, versatile pieces.

Enter Anthropologie. Now, being a realistic person, I know I can’t buy everything I want at anthro. But I can shop for key items that I can continuously create unique outfits with (and then there’s my favorite place, the sale room….). When I saw this blazer at my local anthro, I knew it was an instant classic. I stood in the dressing room coming up with at least 10 ways to wear it, so that I could convince my inner frugal self to make the purchase. In the end, it was a victory for my closet. And to appease my rational side, I want to share with you three ways to wear it.
LOOK ONE: THE WEEKENDER
{blazer: anthro | blouse: anthro | jeans: jbrand (similar) | watch: michael kors
In my humble opinion, a blazer worn with jeans looks effortless and chic for almost all occasions. It makes the perfect weekend outfit for running errands or brunching with girlfriends. And for those days when time gets away from you, this outfit can easily transition into a night out.
LOOK TWO: WORKING GIRL
{blazer: anthro | tee: loft | skirt: Jcrew | boots: steven | necklace: loft | watch: michael kors}
I’ve always thought of the blazer as my go-to item for work. And paired with a pencil skirt, it’s almost impossible to go wrong. I’ve chosen a color pop of blue here, but a gray, black, tan, purple, yellow, pink (need I go on?) pencil skirt could do the trick.

LOOK THREE: NIGHT OUT
{blazer: anthro | dress: target (similar) | scarf: zara | watch: michael kors}
A colored blazer is the perfect way to brighten up a little black dress for a date night with your sweetheart, or your best friends. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I put more effort into dressing up to go out with the girls! There is nothing quite like a group of your best girls in their best attire, out on the town.

So there you have it! One blazer, three looks, three occasions. Do you have any favorite items that you find to be most versatile in your wardrobe? If so, I’d love to hear about it over at Dream in Fashion. Thanks for reading!
