Wishlist: February 2013

February may be half over, but without much going on in Anthroland today seemed like a good time to share the latest additions to my wishlist. Starring: J.Crew.

Spring on the mind.
J.Crew is just about even with Anthropologie as brands close to my heart. Yet their Fall 2012 collection was a total miss for me. I usually add at least a cashmere sweater but not a single piece landed in my closet. Seems like Spring 2013 will more than make up for that! I’m in love with a ton of items from J.Crew’s latest release including the three complete outfits you see above. I even reviewed a few of the pieces for the lovely Gigi over at Gigi’s Gone Shopping.

I’m especially enamored with the butterflies — swoon! I’ll have a collection of butterfly pieces in a set later this week on my tumblr.

Creamy tops.
Free People is swiftly climbing the ladder of brands I love! Their February 2013 catalogue is perfection as far as I’m concerned. I love how it tells a story and how good everything looks. So good in fact that I’ve added a few pieces to my wishlist that probably won’t work on me…but I’m hoping that maybe they’ll look half as good on me as they do on the model.

I’m not usually a fan of white/cream but these three tops above are calling to me. Off-the-shoulder has recently become my favorite weekend style. I guess I didn’t get enough of them in the early 90s, or I was probably too young to properly appreciate the awesomeness of bare shoulders. Practical? Hell no. Fun? Hell yes.

The timekeeper.
Oh Kate Spade. Your hideous online customer service makes me want to throw something. Yet your products of beauty keep me coming back to you…just maybe for store-only shopping. The Carousel watch comes in about 15 different flavors, each with the Kate Spade trademark cute little saying engraved in the band. Although there’s never a reason to wear three watches at once I’m tempted by the bangle-like combinations you could create with these exquisite timepieces.

The latest bag craving.
I’m turning into a bag lady it seems. Although my collection of clutches, bags and purses is well-stocked at this point I can’t help but lust after the Rockie from Alexander Wang. It’s just so cute! And it has little spiky studs on the bottom that remind me of Rebecca Minkoff.

My friend T has the Rockie in green and lent it to me for a day. I didn’t want to give it back! The cylindrical crossbody satchel is small but fun, in vivid colors or a toned-down blush. If this bag makes it to sale it’s coming home with for sure.

And a few more.
Accessories are an easy way to freshen up a look. I love the sealike treasure of the Stingray Cuff ($38) and the crisp light green color of the Venus Flytrap Necklace ($85). Gap came through with an awesome large zip-clutch in their Two-Tone Canvas Clutch ($30) which comes in a variety of colors and tones. Just the finishing pieces I need to create a cool look!

What’s on your wishlist right now?
