I have noticed a lot of community members sharing in-store deals and spots in the comments of various posts. Inspired by the weekly Seek & Find posts started by the lovely Alexis over at J.Crew Aficionada, I think now is a good time to start a similar weekly post here.
This post is for community members to trade information. You can ask for help in finding an item, report back on what you saw in-store at your local Anthro, ask general questions, make a request, or just stop by to say hello. I love how helpful this community can be!
Some FAQs….
– What does “sub” mean?
It means that people are subscribing to the comment thread. You can do this by checking the “send follow-up comments to x email address” box in the comment form.
– Someone in the comments said they wanted to buy an item from me, but it’s been x hours and I haven’t heard squat. What should I do?
I give people 24 hours for the benefit of the doubt. After that move on to the next person that contacted you.
– Someone said they returned an item at the store 20 minutes ago but I just called the store and it’s gone. What gives?!?
A store associate might have taken a fancy to it or a customer might have grabbed it. Maybe it’s just at the bottom of a big ol’pile. Unfortunately, you’re out of luck.

Hi Tiffany, If you call a store and they have it in stock, most times they will ship it for free (some do not, but since we're in a free shipping for summer mode, your chances look good!). Start by calling Customer Service at 1·800·309·2500 and asking what stores currently have it in stock. They will usually try to provide you with stores that are closest to you to call. On another note – has anyone seen the Wild Meadow Booties at their store. I'm looking for a 7.5. Many thanks,Sarah

Kristin, if you're looking for it in the new teal color, U. Village had a medium–206-985-2101. They're having a sidewalk sale today, so it might be super busy, but I saw one on a display table near the back of the store.

Hold onto your hats, Tick Tock Cardi searchers: I have seen one at the designer discount boutique Plain Ivey Jane for $52.00. It appears new and unworn, though it doesn't have any tags so I can't tell you what size it is. Seen at the Austin Anthro, Lamar & 6th location ((512) 236-9301):-one openwork vines skirt, size xs-a few tracy reese plenty sky grown dresses, sizes 0,2,4- 2 leifsdottir blue blooming brilliance tops, sz 8-one dreaming in green skirt, sz 8-one navy covered in cables cardi, xsThere are also a few items that may be from last year, and as a result have at least one second cut on the price. I don't know their names, but they were going for $20 and $30. So if you're an Austin Anthrophile, I'd recommend checking it out.

Hi guysI am returning the following to the Rockefeller store in the next half hour:Stunt double booties in 8 – i think they run a little small – 89.95Circled Adornment Tee in XS – 39.95 – just a warning – the crochet bit at the top is slightly imperfect and because its right in the middle its the first thing you notice Fissured Shell – XS and S – I agree with reviews online that it makes one look pregnant – 49.95HTH

Hi Ladies,I have a question about placing an order over the phone with the catalogue. I don't usually place orders over the phone so can you tell me if they ask you for the security code of your visa card? I have never been asked the security code when placing an order over the phone, I only need to use it on online purchases, but with anthro when I ordered something today, the cs rep asked me for my sec code. I gave it to her but I was not comfortable doing so. Any info about this will be greatly appreciated.thanks.
Re/ the question asked above,Most online merchants will ask you for the security code of your credit card to make sure the card being used has not been stolen. It's a measure to protect both you and the merchant from fraudulent transactions, and it's very common to ask for that code nowadays. There is no reason you should feel reluctant to provide it
Thanks hs for your reply, I was aware of the security code requirement for online orders, I just wasn't sure about having to give it for over-the-phone orders.
Delipickle, I am sure they are asking for it on a phone order to ensure that someone did not just take your card numbers. They want to ensure that you have the actual card in hard. It's really to protect you.

Fiona, it runs through tomorrow (Sunday). I went Thursday afternoon, and it already seemed picked over. Nothing really new at Anthro; $10 racks at H&M but again, nothing they haven't marked down before; Sole Food had a few cute things at 50%–but even with that markdown, things were still pricey. Anyway, I'm not sure it's really worth a road trip.

I will be a returning a Tartan Rose tieback shirt in a M in about 30 minutes to the anthropologie in La Jolla, CA. If they let me put it on hold I will put it under mae.
Question – If I bought a top that was on a store-only special sale (.96 ending), but its a size bigger than I usually wear (they didn't have my size). If I take it to another store that has a smaller size and exchange, would I have to pay the difference in price?

Just FYI – The store at the Americana (Glendale, CA) has probably 20 Seabound skirts in different sizes, as well as maybe 10 of the green pencil skirts with button details – can't remember the name of them!

*Sonia-I bought that same Leifsdottir planet/stars skirt a few months ago. It was on a first cut sale, but it was too cute to pass up. There was actually a dress version which is beautiful as well. They had some dresses at Anthro in Lenox mall Atlanta (of course a few of months ago) but a couple of weeks ago I saw they still had one left in a larger size and it was still $199 on sale. Bloomingdales also had it but has sold out.Sorry, haven't seen the skirt around, but Maria from Infinite Whimsy reviewed the dress when she went to Atlanta in April. Good luck.
