Email: The dawn of June & Free Shipping

It’s a good day for anthro members! Not only did Anthropologie send us an email with a link to the June catalogue, they also announced complimentary shipping is in effect until Labor Day. Of course thanks to Kim we already knew this in the community yesterday. It’s still a wonderful gesture on Anthropologie’s part. The free shipping is only available to anthro members living in the United States. If you’re not an anthro member you can sign up here.

I plan to take advantage of free shipping A LOT. Starting this morning, when I placed an order for the Ipanema Dress ($118, review here), the Crayon Wings Top ($78) and the On the Vine Ring (now $30). Will you be placing a free shipping order soon?

Ahhh, Free Shipping is dangerous! I historically have placed so many more summer orders in the last 2 years 'cause there is no (monetary) friction involved in doing so! I placed an order this morning in fact even though nothing from my wishlist went on sale…'just cause I *could*. Eep, not looking good for my willpower. But I am still grateful to Anthro for extending this offer!(And I think you are going to look amazing in the Crayon Wings Top Roxy!!)

I woke up at 4AM, and, since I was awake, I went shopping. 🙂 I bought the Poetess Blouse, the Sanchi Skirt, the Gilded Impatiens necklace, and the Collezione bracelet. Half an hour later, I found the plum Crossroads Tee. Normally, I'd tell myself too bad, not wanting to pay double shipping. But they got me! With no shipping penalty, I submitted that order, too. Ohhhh, they've got me now!

I'm loving the Free Shipping and I really liked the link to the June Catalog! Go Anthro with your customer service!!!I snagged the Magnified Geranium Blouse last night. Now I just want the jeans from the catalog shot to go on sale so I can have the whole look!

Thanks so much, Roxy, for keeping us up to date on the sales, free shipping, etc…I really appreciate all you do for us, and the fact that I can just pull up my "Effortless Anthropologie" bookmark to see what is on sale, IF there is a sale, etc…Let's hope maybe Anthro will follow Lululemon's footsteps and keep shipping free forever…wishful thinking, but I know, for ME, I am much more likely to order something online and possibly keep it if I haven't paid for shipping…if I have to risk losing 10 or 15 dollars on say, a pair of shoes that I have no idea will fit or not, I am less likely to take the risk and order and pay so much shipping….as I said, wishful thinking, but fingers crossed!!

I already did…snatched up the present paper cardigan and the unpredictable prisms earrings both in grey. Free shipping rocks!

I just LOVE free shipping! For whatever reason, I am usually more likely to place an order with a free shipping promo than with a percentage off discount – even if the percentage off is a better deal. Free shipping just looks so satisfying on the credit card page!I ordered the Cirrus Duvet in Ocean and am planning on picking up a bunch of other home items as I am redecorating my apartment… exciting!Caroline

triciathomas – thank you! I am totally doing the empty wallet dance over here. LOL.goldenmeans – willpower. Right. I think I have heard of it. 😉 Caroline – haha, exactly. Anthro knows how to reel me in too. Krameymartin – oh, that top is going to look so pretty on you! Hope you snag the jeans too.Anonymous @ 8:00 – I would LOVE it if Anthro just kept shipping free. Hint, hint.Nichole – agreed, it rocks. :)Caroline – hmm, that reminds me that I have been lusting after another Anthro bedding set and I might just take the plunge.By the way, I'm jealous of all you June birthdays with these cute new arrivals. No fair.

  10. May 28, 2010 / 12:50 am

Stephanie – oh, you ordered the romper!! I really want to know how it works out for you.

  11. May 28, 2010 / 12:55 am

Happy in Hawaii!! I'm so excited about the free shipping, but worried for my wallet. I went a little overboard in March when Anthro did free shipping. But, Yay!!

  12. May 28, 2010 / 12:58 am

Hi,Is there a coupon code required for free shipping?

  13. May 28, 2010 / 1:08 am

Question.Does anyone know how second cuts work? Now with free shipping, I really want the Force Field corset. It's been on sale for what seems like forever. It's $39, which is a pretty good price. It was $78, but I keep not pushing the trigger because I keep hoping it may go on sale… My friend who is visiting me for Memorial Day has one in her store in my size. Should I keep waiting for that second cut or should I get it now? I know I have two weeks for a price adjustment…Augh! I don't know what to do!

  14. May 28, 2010 / 1:10 am

Roxy, I totally agree! I think your birthday is in January like mine? I am SO envious (and happy!) for the June birthday girls too, because it was slim pickins back in the winter! Now if only the Wishlist feature was a little more user friendly, like being able to prioritize items. I'd love to be able to make better sense of my wishlist so I can plan my attack over the summer and take advantage of free shipping.I am dying to see the catalog but I am funny about it, I don't want to view it online until I get my

  15. May 28, 2010 / 1:13 am

. . . . . catalog in the mail (don't know why that was cut off)

  16. May 28, 2010 / 1:21 am

Cat – oh my. I'd be happy if I were in Hawaii right now!Tina – no, you just need to be a US resident and also you must be an anthro member. (It's that little yellow card they offer. You can sign up online too.) There's a link in the post but the web addy is <a href="http://my.anthropologie.com/.http://my.anthropologie.com/.<br />Meg – If you buy it at the sale price you'd be eligible for a PA if it gets a 2nd cut within 14 days. I would get it!Katie – Yes, January birthday like you. 🙂 I'm not gonna lie, I am pressuring my sister to make sure she gets her birthday discount (she's a June birthday) so I can live vicariously through her.

  17. May 28, 2010 / 1:24 am

Roxy, will you wear the ring in one of your OOTD posts? I'm curious to see how it looks on.Thanks again. You are awesome!

I will definately shop more now that there is free shipping. Amazingly even a 10% discount can seemingly make me shop 90% more. I think if Anthro would do more coupons/shipping discounts sales would be up even more. I love the "feel" of getting a deal even if it isn't much of a bargain.

  19. May 28, 2010 / 2:04 am

Honestly, I have to really LOVE something and not be able to find it in a store to pay Anthro's high shipping fees! Now that free shipping is in effect for the next 3 months, I'm in trouble! It's all I can do to keep from ordering the Tiny Windows Dress in Lavender and the Time Gone By Dress. I.must.be.strong.Great buys Roxy – Love the Ipanema Dress!

  20. May 28, 2010 / 2:26 am

My birthday is in June so there is an incredibly high possibility that I will get to use some free shipping…however for some reason despite the free shipping I decided to go look at some new arrivals in store. Imagine my surprise when I found the Azure Chrysanthemum Maillot from last year on extreme markdown. So that somehow made its way home with me along with the Mango Chutney Corset. Definitely have a huge grin on my face for 3+ hours straight!

  21. May 28, 2010 / 2:32 am

speaking of june birthdays and discounts, when does one generally receive said discount?! i'm a june birthday and just noticing on the calendar how late in may it already is!should i have already rec'd a discount if i was one of the 'chosen'?!

  22. May 28, 2010 / 2:38 am

Victoria – sure. :)The Pretty Pauper – I know. Factor in a discount and I might just faint.Anonymous @ 9:46 – I hear you. Saving $16 in shipping is already like 15% off to me. Kim – It's terrible isn't it? Not helping temptation at all.Andrea – that is awesome! I love hearing about the amazing deal some of you score. :)stef – It usually arrives by the 10th of your birthday month, so it's probably a bit early.

  23. May 28, 2010 / 2:51 am

thanks, roxy! good to know i still have a chance…i rec'd one from banana republic the other day (at which i haven't shopped for nearly a yr!) so wasn't sure when/if anthro sent their goody bags!the june catalog is lookin' good so i'm hopeful for a price break!p.s. enjoying all your recent dress reviews–you really rocked them all! boo to the graphical dress and that tie back though–it's so flattering to us boobilicious girls from the front why taunt from the back?! wondering if one of those wear-it-100-ways type bras might solve the problem (the ones where you can somehow create a low back closing?)

  24. May 28, 2010 / 3:31 am

Roxy, this is off topic, but ModCloth has an identical twin of a Leifsdottir blouse at Anthro from last year…here's the link:http://www.modcloth.com/store/ModCloth/Womens/Animalia+TopI think you had a review awhile back, but I can't remember what the blouse is called so I can't find it. Thanks for all you do!

Am I the only one with my account linked up to my anthro card who didn't get this email?I get other anthro emails, and I looked through the spam folder and it isn't there either. Hmm…

  27. May 28, 2010 / 2:39 pm

I have an anthro card – is there some reason I never receive these emails?

  28. May 28, 2010 / 2:56 pm

Emily & Anon @ 9:01 AM – I have a feeling these emails only go to a portion of the list, or that the list isn't updated regularly.

  29. May 28, 2010 / 4:08 pm

I also don't get the emails. I just tried updating my info for my anthro card on the my.anthropologie.com site. We'll see if that does any good.

  30. May 28, 2010 / 4:29 pm

I didn't get that email! The emails Anthro sends me are so random. Sometimes I get them and sometimes I don't. And they still send them to my old address although I changed it on my account. Just to vent.Excited about free shipping though!
