I have noticed a lot of community members sharing in-store deals and spots in the comments of various posts. Inspired by the weekly Seek & Find posts started by the lovely Alexis over at J.Crew Aficionada, I think now is a good time to start a similar weekly post here.
This post is for community members to trade information. You can ask for help in finding an item, report back on what you saw in-store at your local Anthro, ask general questions, make a request, or just stop by to say hello. I love how helpful this community can be!
Some FAQs….
– What does “sub” mean?
It means that people are subscribing to the comment thread. You can do this by checking the “send follow-up comments to x email address” box in the comment form.
– Someone in the comments said they wanted to buy an item from me, but it’s been x hours and I haven’t heard squat. What should I do?
I give people 24 hours for the benefit of the doubt. After that move on to the next person that contacted you.
– Someone said they returned an item at the store 20 minutes ago but I just called the store and it’s gone. What gives?!?
A store associate might have taken a fancy to it or a customer might have grabbed it. Maybe it’s just at the bottom of a big ol’pile. Unfortunately, you’re out of luck.

I remember reading last week that someone was wondering how the "Road not Taken" boots were in real life, so I hope she sees this: I picked them up for 19.99 and they are fantastic. The leather is very soft, and the stitching on the sides is obvious, but in the sort of look-at-these but they are not gaudy. Runs tts as well. If you see them for the current price, get them! Such lovely boots

i'm planning on returning the longest night dress (M, $39, 930110) sometime soon. if you want it, let me know and i can let you know when i return it! some of the beads are falling off, but it shouldn't be hard to sew back and they said they'd give me an additional 15% off for it. it just ended up being too short above the waist for me…definitely for someone with a small bust/ribcage/torso.

Delipickle – Thanks so much for the tip on the Sweetbriar cardi. I phoned the store and they still had it, but unfortunately this was one of the faulty ones where there is white showing through the dark blue waistband on the cardi. So I passed on it.

Anon @ 7:27 – The invite is mostly a marketing gimmick to make it feel more exclusive. The upside is that when you join through someone else's invite, they get a $25 credit when you make your first sale. 🙂 That's pretty nice. But yes you can sign up anytime you want at their site. I don't know if they still do this but Gilt, Rue La La and a few others used to make you wait 24 hours before you got in if you signed up through the site vs. immediate access if you join through an invite.Kristina – TIA = thanks in advance. 😉 Hope this does not offend but I am LOL!

Hello!I have been searching (somewhat obsessively) for a pair of anthropologie boots. For the life of me, I cannot remember what they are called, though I do know they went on sale late Nov/ early Dec of 09. I decided against getting them – until I saw someone wearing them and realized how great they were. I am sure they are sold out now, but I just need to figure out the name of them.They are tall, flat and brown leather, with a very specific detail on the back. They have a buckle – type feature, that goes down the entire back of the leg, almost like rubber bands stretched around safety pins heads — just to give you a better visual.I would absolutely love it if someone could let me know the name of these boots, I have scoured the internet / anthro catalogs and have found — nothing. Kind of OT, but I'm not sure where to post this. I have a PSA for Canadian ladies: I was at Winners today and snagged an adorable Anthro-esque ruffly cardigan for $25. It's a cross between the Curlytop Cardigan and the Plaza cardigan. It's by Prince of Thieves and can be found in the juniors section. I bought the grey but IIRC there was a black version for sale as well. The quality is quite nice…very detailed ruffles and the sweater is cozy and soft (not itchy!). I uploaded some pictures here for anybody who's interested. I grabbed an extra just in case…so for anybody who wants it and doesn't have a Winners near them or can't find it in their size, email me. For those of you who want a cheaper version of the Tutu tank go to F21 and put in the style # 2073746601. It's only $19.80I have it…very similar. But the F21 is more of a cream color. I also own the Tutu tank in white.

Can anyone spare a spare front button for a cropped blazer I'm afraid I don't know the name of. It's navy with patched striped elbows and a red lining with Scottie dogs. Buttons are bluish grey with a pewter colored center. I bought this at the clearance rack at the store where it was already missing a button. Pls. email at shopchengat@yahoo.comP.S. Discount tip: If you ever encounter a flaw in an item at the store you can ask for a discount. I got an additional 15% off on the blazer because of the missing button. It's still returnable too, unlike other stores that won't allow returns on flawed items.
Desiqueen, it is anthro policy for stores to charge shipping on all charge sends that are called in by individuals. If you have a store call and track it down for you then the shipping is waived. However, shipping must manually be added, so often, the SA may forget or accidentally skip this step. But they are right, that is policy.
