Reviews: Fluttering Petals Tank, Beaded Cosmos Tee, Look Sharp Tunic and Growing Conditions Tank

I was enthralled by Yoana Baraschi’s Fluttering Petals Tank ($148) on the Rockefeller Plaza racks. Though delicate it’s also elegant and maybe a bit too fancy for my work wardrobe. Couldn’t resist trying it on. I was unsure what size to grab as it looked unforgiving so I sized up to a large. That was a mistake as the shirt has plenty of give. It’s true to size.

While I can clearly make out the pattern on the website photo in real life it’s a little less apparent. It kind of looked like black splotches to me rather than a flower. I am swooning though and I think with the right cardi this would be a versatile top. Wishlisted.

On a whim I added C. Keer’s Beaded Cosmos Tee ($68) to my dressing room pile. The orange color was not really speaking to me but the carefully beaded stitchings were. I grabbed my usual size medium. Lately though I’ve found I can wear a small in all of C.Keer’s tops so I’d size down to buy.

The top is a little short for my liking and has an 80s vibe to it with the wide neckline and banded hem. I just adore the front. It’s so well done. I only wish this top came in other colors…ivory or gold or maybe a lighter blue. Pass in orange, but back in love if other colors come out.

Belted button-down tunics seem to be my undoing, but Odille has done everything they can to make it work with their Look Sharp Tunic ($88). I sized up to an 8 because my true size 6 was pulling a bit across my bust. This top seems to be popular round these parts; the green was the only shade left with an 8.

For the most part I like this top. I can see wearing this over leggings or jeans for a casual workday or running errands. I think it would also look cute over a knee-length denim skirt. The green read as a turquoise to me with blue tones mixed among the green. I like this non-ruffly top a bit better than the Lean Lines Tunic I reviewed last week. Wishlisted.

The last top in this set is the Growing Conditions Tank ($68) by Deletta. Anthropologie’s version of ‘more cowbell’ seems to be ‘more flowers!’ And so there is a giant one conspicuously placed on this top. It’s lovely but unnecessary. I like the soft material and the blotchy print is a nice spring hue. I grabbed my usual size small which fit comfortably. I didn’t feel that the shape was doing much for me though so I let this one go back to the rack for reconsideration upon sale time.

Thanks for the reviews Roxy!I love the Fluttering Petals tank (just wish it wasn't so much $) and the Look Sharp Tunic on you. The tunic even looks cute with your rainboots (Liberty of London?). I've never really been one for button-down tunics, but seeing it on you is making me think twice. 🙂

I was in the Scottsdale Kierland store today, and I'm pretty sure the Cosmos Beaded tee was there in green.

I haven't ventured much into anthro, but I always enjoy your reviews. My fav is the fluttering petals tank…gorgeous

I felt the same way about the growing conditions tank – so cute on the hanger but not necessarily the most flattering thing on (looks really cute on you though). The elastic also hit at a weird place on me, but i may just need to play around with it some more.

I saw the Fluttering Petals tank today in the store. It is gorgeous, but pricey. I've wishlisted it as well. I thought it looked nice, but wonder about practicality.

While I think the fluttering petals tank is very flattering on you…I have to confess the black pattern kind of reminds me of Rorschach's mask from the Watchmen movie

ROFL – Yvonne you just killed the nerd inside me. If only the splotches moved, that would be so cool. Now I must own that tank!
