More Anthropologie survey goodness

Anthropologie wants to pick our brains some more! Thanks to Christine and Keenan who forwarded along the latest survey from Anthro. This one is all about boots and Anthropologie has a few more questions. I have two comments right up front for Anthropologie: help an athletic sister out. Carry wide calf styles please! And please offer extended sizes (5-11 or something similar). We’re paying a premium for your products and these moves would be much appreciated.

Let’s all take the survey, shall we? Examine the options below and share your answers in the comments. Which style is your favorite? Least favorite? My answers in the comments.

I would pick: C, G, B. I wear boots: over jeans (no leggings, thanks) and with tights and a skirt. I am likely to buy my first choice IF THE CALF IS WIDE ENOUGH kthx. 😉 My least favorite is style A, just too much going on for my taste. Et tu?

Thanks for posting these Roxy, I love seeing them. And oh yes Anthro, PLEASE offer extended sizes! All your size 11s are either ugly or sold out in 2 seconds ;)I like F, H, and C (are those Frye Janes??)Oh and Roxy did you see UO's earning report?? Wow!!

You bet I did! That's going to be my afternoon post today. Hilariously their stock is barely up though. I think now would be a good time to buy if you didn't get in last month when they were around their 12-mo lows. (In my completely non-expert opinion.)

Thanks for posting! I just got a survey too, except it was about booties instead of tall boots. Re: the boots from your survey, I like H (but I'd like them better if they weren't suede), C, and B. Fun!

I agree to see extended sizes like J.Crew with extended calf sizes; although this might be tough for larger carried brands like Frye. sugarandspiceandnice.blogspot.com

I actually just discovered that i had received an anthro survey on t-shirts….it was fun! I hope they send me another…

Roxy – boot C is the Frye Jane boot. I own them (love them!) and the shaft is pretty wide. On my size 8.5 it measures about 16.5 inches. Of course for my monstrous calves that is snug… but most people would be just fine with it 🙂

I received the same survey yesterday! I voted for B, H, F, although I told them that I probably wouldn't buy any of the boots in the end because they're not practical for life in NH. From November – April, I pretty much need to wear snow boots and during the rest of the year I want to wear sandals! I wish that Anthro would come out with cute, feminine, waterproof snow boots!

B, E, C for me! Definitely with a skirt and tights.

  10. March 4, 2010 / 6:06 pm

I also got a T-shirt survey two days ago. If you want, I can send it to you. I took screen shots of both of them, but then I got bogged down with research and forgot to send them to you.I don't know why Anthro sent me surveys on two consecutive days, but I'm not complaining!

  11. March 4, 2010 / 6:13 pm

I like F, H, and E. My least favorite would be A. I always wear boots either over skinny jeans or with tights/leggings paired with dresses and skirts. These surveys are fun 🙂 I wish they'd send me some to do.

  12. March 4, 2010 / 6:15 pm

    1. I love style C and Style D. 2. Generally wear boots over skinny jeans or tights. Rarely over bear leg. 3. somewhat likely to purchase first choice, for me cost is a major consideration. I might droll on the keyboard a little … 4. Least favorite Style A: never like the combination of leather/fabric like that. (I have pretty traditional tastes)Again, I second the Wide Calf Sizes! It's soooo hard for me to find boots that fit because I also have athletic calves. It's extremely frustrating.

A,D,H- I'm dying for a good leather-canvas boot, the gorgeous loma vista boots anthro had a couple years ago were the perfect pair! I don't think I'd by the exact boot of A though, not really digging the 70's textured corduroy-like fabric that they're using, canvas please! Not really digging B, but I feel like they've already released something very similar last fall. Thanks again for posting this Roxy! I agree w/ you, extended sizes & wider calves, please Anthro?

  14. March 4, 2010 / 6:49 pm

G, E, H for me! With Jeans….I love how G looks…classic & comfy! I DISLIKE A…don't like the mixed materials….Amen Roxy….I agree with you for WIDER CALVES. I also have this problem….why should I be punished for being athletic! :-)Also…how do people get selected to take Anthro surveys? I would love to be a survey taker….

  15. March 4, 2010 / 6:54 pm

Lola – send it along, I'm happy to post more. :)GinaBean – Anthro's marketing group selects people from their mailing list. I don't think there's an official opt-in for them.

  16. March 4, 2010 / 6:56 pm

I like the sames ones that you do roxy, just in a different order. I would go B, G, C and A is also my least favorite.

C, G and H are my favorites. A is my least favorite. I can't really tell what's going on there but it looks like wide corduroy? Just no business on boots.

  20. March 4, 2010 / 7:51 pm

I would pick: B, E and CI would wear my boots: with tights and a dress or skirtI would be VERY LIKELY to buy B (for the same reason Roxy had–extended calf sizes! It works for J.Crew!)My least favorite style is A. Way too much going on on the boot! Thanks for sharing Roxy! I wish I could take tests like this all the time in lieu of the GRE. 😉

Hey: didn't know where to post this, but I was just at the No. Brunswick, NJ Anthro and they had several of the scalloped dots skirts in size 10, 12 and 14. I know alot of people were looking for them. Store # is 732-565-9870.

The survey I received today was about booties. A few of them were open toed which I am not a fan of, so, I appreciated being able to give feedback.

Hmmm. C. And none of the others, actually. Is that black boot a new version of the winding ruffles boots? Also, totally off topic, but Roxy, have you seen the Drifting By dress in any of the NYC stores? My size is backordered online and I want to stalk it this weekend.

  24. March 4, 2010 / 8:48 pm

Jenny – Ack! Good luck with the GREs. Anon @ 3:46 – I have not been to Rockefeller Center this week, but the dress is not yet out at Soho or 5th Ave.

i can't be the only one with chicken legs! boots always look ridiculous on me bc the calves are too big! they always look like rain boots.

  26. March 4, 2010 / 9:29 pm

amen about the wider calves! I would choose b,d, and g.

  27. March 4, 2010 / 9:31 pm

Since we're all on the same page with the wider calves thing….has anyone found a cute tall boot that can accommodate a wider calf? I'm hunting for some….any brand/style suggestions? Has anyone tried the Jessica Simpson "Grella"?

  28. March 4, 2010 / 9:39 pm

I am most likely to buy styles B, F, and G. I prefer boots with at least a 2 1/2 inch to 3 1/2-inch heel, but I'll buy flatter boots if they have some interesting detail about them that makes them more of a stand-out. I also don't like too much of a rugged cowboy look, so I'd definitely pass over A. I'd like to see Anthro offer a few dressier boot styles.

I got that survey this morning, my favorites were F, E and B. My least favorite was A because I really don't like the sweater look in them. I usually wear my boots over skinnies, no leggings for me.

  30. March 4, 2010 / 11:41 pm

B, G, D! I love my Winding Ruffle Boot and B is definitely a similar style.

  31. March 4, 2010 / 11:46 pm

Oh, and I wear my boots very very often over skinny jeans and over cozy tights with skirts/dresses (did that today). Also have been known to go without tights show some skin lol.

I got this survey too. A few days prior to the boot survey I got one for blouses. It's too bad Anthro doesn't give a coupon after completing the survey. Our a coupon to Roxy for her wonderful blog:)

Kind of surprised about B being such a popular choice since they're nearly identical to Miss Albright's Sidesaddle Ruffle Boots from the September catalog, which didn't seem to register on the blogsphere. The only difference is the ruffle on B starts partway on the side of the boot, whereas the ruffle on the Sidesaddle was completely along the back.
