I always seem to get Anthro emails after you've posted about them. That's why I always head over to your blog first for sale announcements. Do they stagger their email blasts?

  3. February 25, 2010 / 7:11 pm

Omg, I can't wait to get my catalogue! Roxy, I'm going to start collecting catalogues like you…..then I will know the names of everything after they are no longer online! I think it will help me with my future Anthro trolling. 🙂

LOL Loraine, yes far too many lovelies!!Anon @ 1:59, I'm not sure if they stagger the deployments but I can tell you that when I blast client emails it takes time for the system to get through them all. So it just depends where you are on the list.

GinaBean – I just saw an auction for 55 Anthro catalogs go for $130!!! Could not believe it, I was hoping to snap them up.

  7. February 25, 2010 / 7:13 pm

Roxy, you HAVE to get them!!! Good luck!!! Um, and I think I may have told you before, but I am addicted to your and Kim's blogs. It's part of my AM routine now….more addicting than coffee! 🙂

Thanks for the update on the email! I haven't received the email yet as well so it's great to see it earlier here. Does anyone recognize what site Anthro shot the first 30 pages of this month's catalog with the concrete structures? I see bamboo in a couple shots so I'm guessing it's somewhere in Asia…but that doesn't really narrow it down by much…

There is SO much cute stuff on the website right now! I can't wait for it to work it's way into the stores (of course, with free shipping I may be tempted not to wait). Lucky for me I live in Southern California so I can wear this stuff now. Not lucky for me when fall comes around and it's 90 degrees here and all they have in stores are sweaters! But that is then and this is now and I am a happy camper!

Roxy please try on the followspot tank!

  13. February 25, 2010 / 8:19 pm

Hmm, I see some items got new names. The Fancy That Tank for instance is now the Buds & Bunches Tee. I THOUGHT I saw it in ivory/beige, nice to know I wasn't crazy.

    J. I am dying to know too! (And then I want to go there.) I hope this month's anthro in our own words addresses it.Lauren H thank you for the report! Hope your kid is now happier. :(Ady – I agree!Traci – Oh, warm weather. What's that like? Snowing in NYC today. 🙂 I love it.Anon @ 3:16 – sure thing, once I see it I will try it on.

  15. February 25, 2010 / 8:26 pm

Anthro is seriously killing me with the new goodies and free shipping! I'm supposed to be saving money for my vacation in April.

  16. February 25, 2010 / 9:16 pm

    J. – I'm also dying to know where the March catalog was shot so that I can go there… For those who remember the October 2008 catalog, it was shot in Iceland. Not entirely by coincidence, I ended up buying a heavily-discounted plane ticket to Iceland the next month (it was right after the Icelandic economy collapsed). I know that sounds kind of sad, but I actually had a wonderful time and I probably wouldn't have thought to go there if Anthro hadn't planted the idea in my head!

  17. February 25, 2010 / 9:19 pm

Also, those of you who are talking about collecting catalogs are making me feel sad that I threw out 5 years' worth of Anthro catalogs when I moved from Chicago to the Northeast. At the time, I didn't think it was worth the $40 shipping cost… but now I really want them back!

  18. February 25, 2010 / 9:27 pm

so weird I haven't been getting the anthro emails at all! Just signed up again..i think the last email I got was about sheets!

  19. February 25, 2010 / 9:31 pm

aaaand i just got an email. LOL

  20. February 25, 2010 / 9:32 pm

Hey everyone,I just noticed a new Anthro website feature: When you click on "ratings" it gives you a "rating snapshot" that says how many reviewers gave each number of stars for the "overall ratings" plus it says what the averages for "aesthetic/design" and "quality" are. It also says what percentage of customers would recommend the product to a friend!

  21. February 25, 2010 / 9:35 pm

I wonder if this is their sneaky way of hiding the bad reviews… Now, reader reviews don't automatically show up (you have to click the "read all n reviews" button on the "review statistics" page) and the link doesn't seem to be working right now.

The images in the March catalog are so beautiful, I just want to lose myself in every one of them!

  23. February 26, 2010 / 12:08 pm

I totally want to rustle my hair up and shove some twigs into it, and I'm not even being sarcastic.

  24. February 26, 2010 / 9:08 pm

Does anyone know how the free shipping with an anthro card works? i have many items in my cart and went to "checkout" The free shipping did not go through even though I was signed in. Do I have actually have to enter my credit card information and have it go through before the free shipping is applied?

Though I should've just waited for Anthro's "In Our Own Words", I was too infatuated & eager to learn more so I emailed CS! The first 30 pages of the catalog were shot in Xilitla, Mexico at a surrealist sculpture garden called Las Pozas done by Edward James. Many Thanks to the lovely Joyce James at Anthro's CS! I was way off, I think the bamboo really threw me, didn't know of the many native American bamboo species.I'm pretty ecstatic that it's on the same continent (apparently 1 day's drive south of the border), so much more accessible than a $$$ plane ticket to Cambodia. Road Trip!PBS did a docu. on it & a 5min.(low quality) clip can be found here: http://www.xilitla.org/booksanddvds.php#Edward%20… There are a ton of vids on YouTube, as well as a BBC travel show clip on it.

Patricia — no, your CC info has no bearing on this. Go here and click on the link that says "link anthro to your account." It should prompt you for the number on the back of your anthro card. Once you complete that process free shipping should ensue if you're a USA resident. 🙂

Anon – that is soooo cool. I might make this a new post later tonight, thanks so much for the info!!

🙂 Just passing it along! Real thanks goes to Miss Joyce James at CS who promptly replied to my inquiry!
