Anthro snuck a few new arrivals online

Rare Bloom Tee ($58) — now in navy

Since I’m online anyway (watching the Golden Globes! I’m a multitasker!) it seems that Anthropologie snuck a few new arrivals online today. Here’s a mini-gallery of things worth taking a peek at. Enjoy!

I'm already attracted to the Vanilla Bean Blouse and I'm wondering whether to get the Rare Bloom Tee when I already have the teal

Stephanie I am having a similar dilemma. I own the pink and love it, but now I feel I need the teal and navy too. Oh lordy. My closet is going to be all Anthro before this is over.

Roxy and Stephanie, I hear ya. I actually got really bored last week and counted all of the pieces in my closet, and I have 83% anthro. The other 17% were mainly jeans and plain tees. I was actually kind of disgusted, but my collection continues to grow.-Stefanie

Yeah I noticed the past 4 months about 80 percent of my purchases were from Anthro 🙁 But the time I buy Anthro stuff most of my budget for the month is exhausted

Ladies, you're saying that like it's a bad thing. 😉

lol nope its not, I love everything I bought so far :] and its one of the few stores I can consistently find things that fit me well and I also love.

lol, i've noticed the "Anthropolization" of my closet as well. i did some purging over the weekend of stuff I haven't worn in about 2 years. And yes, i am with Stephanie on Rare Bloom tee in navy. Such decisions.BYW Roxy, when are we finding out what you used your birthday discount for?

This week Bronzi, thank you for asking! I bought my stuff on Friday night. I just need to snap photos of everything. I have been getting facial treatments for the past month to help with rosacea so I'm anti-makeup and kind of puffy this weekend (as my OOTD shots show). Come tomorrow I should be back to normal so I'll put a post together to run on Wednesday or Thursday. I can't wait to share what I bought!!

Dear Vanilla Bean Blouse.I need you, even if the polka dots make me recoil in horror. I'll be brave and get over it for you.XOXOXO,Chloe

I also love the Vanilla Bean Blouse, but I am not happy about the polyester. Who knows, maybe I won't be able to feel the difference. If it feels nice, and looks nice on, I'd definitely be willing to be the full price on it.

Hey Roxy! I've been wondering when Anthro was going to start 'changing things up', since with all the blogs, we seem to know exactly how and when they do things…

  12. January 18, 2010 / 2:18 pm

Good morning Anon. I hope they don't change things up too much! I like having a routine. The blogs are here to help so I think it's in Anthro's best interest to not juke us too much.

I'm madly in love with that vanilla bean blouse! too pretty. And I think I will have to take the plunge on the rare bloom tee in the navy…

Roxy, What size did you get your Elodie Lily Cardigan in? We're about the same size (I have a size B bust though) and when I tried on the medium, it felt a little tight in the arms. I didn't get a chance to try on the large, so I'm wondering if it would be too big?

  15. January 18, 2010 / 3:23 pm

Hi sara22185, I have a medium. It's a little snug around my hips but was OK around the arms. I don't think a large would be too big — this cardi runs pretty fitted. And if it doesn't work for you, I have a friend who would buy an L off of you. 😉

  16. January 18, 2010 / 3:42 pm

Sara 22185: I ended up buying the L although I am a b cup also. The m was a little tighter than I would have liked in the hip area. I have worn it several times and the fit isn't a problem. Normally I am a medium

I laugh now whenever someone compliments something I have on and asks where I got it, because inevitably the answer is always Anthro…I feel like I never shop anywhere else! 🙂

The All Seasons Shirtdress actually arrived about midweek. I only know because my indecisive nature coupled with a wicked lack of self-control forced me to order it in all three colours. I'm leaning towards keeping the yellow . . . and the white. I almost ordered the Vanilla Bean blouse yesterday morning but decided to head to the store instead.

Hi Roxy! Thanks for doing this blog- it's so fun to read and I come here multiple times a day! But it's bad for my wallet.Question: Do you think that the First Flurry cardigan will go on sale, and soon? My stores seem to be selling out of the smaller sizes, and I'm wondering if I should just bite the bullet and buy at full price. Thanks!!

I just love the rare bloom tee in navy! Does it tend to run a bit large? I am between a medium and a small so I am wondering which I should order! 🙂

  21. January 18, 2010 / 6:30 pm

Hi Karen! To be honest, I'm not really sure. I have been asking my friends who work at Anthro about the Skyfall Dress, which came out around the same time. I'd love to see both pieces on sale sometime soon! I do not think they will make it into sale tomorrow unfortunately. But maybe in a couple of weeks?Natasha I found it to run true to size. I'm consistently a small in Deletta tops. Hope that helps.

My wardrobe has been essentially 100% Anthro since I moved out of Chicago and started living in the middle of nowhere NH (I only have the patience to obsessively check one store's website for new merchandise). I finally made it down to Boston for some shopping this weekend and I have a funny story: There was a middle-aged man (probably early to mid 40's?) trolling for dates in the Anthropologie store. He walked up to me while I was looking at the Cathedral Arches Dress and asked me if I wanted to go on a date with him. I refused, of course, so then I saw him wander around for a little longer and approach another woman (presumably to ask her out). Ugh!
