Spotted for Less: Little-Bit-Country Booties

Joie at ShopStyle

Anthropologie, let there never be any doubt that I love you and you are my favorite store. However in this economy I love a deal more! So it’s with that in mind that I pass this along. The beautiful boots you see above are known as the Little-Bit-Country Booties ($395) and I fell in love with them instantly (even though I’m a little bit rock and roll myself). The heel in particular is just amazing. But then I spotted the same boots on Shopbop! They’re known as the La Montana Booties ($395) by Joie and right now they’re on sale for 30% off — $276. With free shipping. And 8% cash back through ebates. Um, drool. Hopefully they are true to size…guess we’ll find out soon.

Speaking of deals and steals, J’s blog The Look for Less is quickly becoming one of my favorite daily lurks. I admit to being a brand snob so I’m not one for knockoffs but many of the deals J posts are so great that I’ve caved. Keep up the great work! I have also noticed many of you sharing steals in the comments and I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU! If you have seen Anthropologie items for less somewhere else please let us know. Cheers to a wonderful community.

Do any Anthro lovers out there know the brand of With-a-Splash Booties? I love them, but would love to search around for a cheaper price!

Anon, I'm pretty sure those are by Miss Albright, which means they're Anthro-only. I will try to confirm this.

Thanks so much Roxy! Bummer on them being Anthro only though… now what is a girl to do?! Cute boots, but expensive!? 🙂

Roxy: slightly off topic, but I got the Chie Mihara Stacked Smoke Heels today in size 8.5 and they are BEAUTIFUL. Only problem is that the left one is a wee bit tight. Right one fits wonderfully (I often have this problem with shoes, some more than others). I would love to have tried on the size 9 to judge the difference but online the size 9 is out of stock. These are my first pair of Chie's and do you think the left one, especially, will stretch out with wear? I don't mind spending the money, but don't want to hope they will stretch and don't. HELP!

Hi Bronzi, in my experience Chies do not stretch. I have the same deal as you — the fit of my left foot determines whether I keep the shoes or not. You have a couple of options. You could take the shoes to a cobbler to see if they can help or you can return them. Sucks that the 9s are sold out. 🙁

Roxy: thanks for the feedback. Called CS and looks like there are no 9's to be found 🙁 The CS person sounded as sad as I did about them being a tiny bit tight.I would love to keep them and will inquire about possibly having the left one stretched as you mentioned. Actually I figured I would wear them around the house on the carpet and see what happens this weekend. To show how sick I am, I have a sock on the left foot with the shoe to see how I fare on the comfort side. My concern is the end of the day swelling. Now I know for the future with Chie. Wish me luck!

Good luck Bronzi! I really hope you're able to make the 8.5s work. I have only seen other stores carrying this heels in blue — Anthro seems to be the only store with the creamy taupe.Luci those boots are a great alternative. Rock on lady, thanks for sharing the link. 🙂

Roxy: I returned them today. My left toe was right at the top and I knew in my heart it wasn't going to work:( I did order the 9.5 to see if they are really, really too big or can I use an insert for the right foot. Crazy I know, but I love them and the SA's at the store were drooling over them when I returned them. I know, I have a problem.Again, thanks for your help and I know more about Chie Mihara's for the future. I'll need to order up, same as for Manolo's.

I am new to this blog so this might be too late, but the With-A-Splash Booties are actually made by Gee Wawa and the style is called "Sherry Bootie." You can find them at endless(dot)com for $10 less than Anthro was selling them originally, which is still a lot more than Anthro's sale price but they do still have them in stock and 3 different colors no less! Hope this helps!
