Some new arrivals to munch on

Anthropologie continues to release new items at a trickle. Such teases too — seems like the new items are slow to get to stores at the moment. I found a new items for my wishlist. Anything pique your interest?

Damara Blouse ($228)

A Safari-inspired tale set upon gold by Leifsdottir.
I love the shape of this top.
Odille’s cowlneck top has an interesting shape
that I fear may overwhelm the petite.
Dandelion Wish Dress ($188)
Burlapp has created yet another dress
that I would love to make mine.
Pins And Polkas Dress ($158)
This Moulinette Soeurs dress has dancehall written all over it!
And while somewhat springy, at least the color palette
is moving slowly towards cold weather (even if the sleeves are not).
Tesserae Dress ($228)
The mosaic print and neckline stones are amazing.
Anna Sui presents another stunning dress.
Dawn Til Dusk Dress ($458)
With or without straps, Anna Sui has two amazing new dresses.
The rose on this one reminds me of “Sleeping Beauty.”
Look Of Love Cardigan ($198)
An Alice In Wonderland inspired cardigan from Leifsdottir.
The striped sleeves add an extra something special to this one.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Swag Top ($48)
Reminders of Deletta’s Labyrinthe Tee from last year,
but with more twists and turns.
Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Flutter Tank ($58)
Velvet’s simple layering piece is as expensive
as five similar ones from Old Navy.

Anthropologie at ShopStyle
Evening Abuzz Capelet ($148)
I have tried on Guinevere’s fun cape and it’s really cool on.
A bit tricky to get on though. Review coming tomorrow.

The Damara blouse – great colors and pattern but that shape is really unkind to anyone with big hips, such as myself.Of new arrivals, I really love this:http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=953867The cut will be flattering on us chunkies, I love the high neckline, I like the organic cotton, but 88 dollars for a tank? Maybe if it were a little less sportsy looking…or on sale. 🙂

Anon I love the cross-back on that tank! $88 is…wow. But then again I live in a city where some people spend my entire monthly income on a whim. So it's all about perception.

Is there a reason you changed the links on your page? Now I can't tell which blogs have been updated when (except the daily hit section). I really liked being able to look at the whole list and click on the ones that show they have been updated since I last looked.

Anon — It will be back to normal this weekend. A friend is helping me redo the template and the icons/recent posts got lost as a result.

Last month was my birthday month, and I used my coupon to buy three Moulinette Soeurs dresses. Everything about them is beautiful – the cut, textile, and little extras. Like you I hope their dresses get a little thicker for winter, but I can still wear the ones I got year-round. LA is not that cold.

I really want that Burlapp dress, Roxy. My only concern is that plant print over the left breast. I kind of am a little worried that it's going to look a little strange.Anyway, Diem just sent me a code for an additional 20% off, and one of the Leifsdottir blouse I want from Bloomie's was on sale 40%. Enter Joy. I just thought I'd share with you in case you wanted any of their items.

  7. December 10, 2009 / 7:22 pm

Well, the promo code is "Joy". I just reread what I wrote and it doesn't make any sense. This code if for Bloomingdales.Since Diem enabled me, I figured I'd spread the joy!

Sigh, the two things I love are the ones by Leifsdottir and are the priciest! (go figure!)

I am enchanted by the pattern and colors of the Pins and Polkas dress, but why oh why did they choose polyester fabric. Yuck! Especially in a hot climate like mine. Double yuck!Sarah

I love that Pins and Polka dots dress so much – can't wait to see it in real life!I don't get what's up w/the zebra on the arm of the first shirt 😉

Tien – thanks for sharing the Bloomingdales code!! tres tippy – isn't that always the way? You must have excellent taste. :)Sarah – hmm, I hadn't noticed the fabric at first glance but it that is a bit of a letdown. Kim – I kind of love the zebra top. I hope it makes it to stores so I can try it on!ali – I usually have to size up 1 size in Burlapp because I find them tight around my bust. Otherwise they are TTS.

I don't know where/who else to ask so hope this is ok — I bought a vintage lamp and need a lampshade, I love Anthro style but none of the current shades are quite right, and Ebay isn't helping — are there other home stores that are Anthro-esque that I should check out? What I'm finding is either too slick/modern or too boring.

Love the Damara top- hope we get to see it on you, Roxy!

Beautiful dresses. I love the Tesserae Dress by Anna Sui. I hope it is a gorgeous IRL. That is if the store actually carry this dress. Thanks for the pictures Roxy.

  17. December 11, 2009 / 2:35 pm

I really like the Anna Sui dress, but am sort of hoping lots of people don't 🙂 so it ends up at $150 or so, as some of those dresses do…and like you Roxy I also kind of like the zebra top..Thanks for pics. I agree that new arrivals seems to be trinkling in in a more random way than usual..

Hi Roxy-although I love the cut on the zebra top, I'm not too crazy about the actual zebra print…could do without it.

@Tien, thanks for sharing the Bloomingdales code :), there were a couple Leifsdottir tops I've been watching and there were 40 and 30 percent off now with the code I can get an extra 20 percent on each!

Out of the new arrivals I decided I need the Ghostly Gardens top but that's really about it! I think it will be cute under a cardigan or blazer.
