Gorgeous! Phosphorescence Bracelet

I adore statement bracelets. They make me think of dressing to the nines, going to fun parties and being with the peeps I love. Last year I spent a good amount of time drooling over the Juxtaposed Bracelet ($258, poetic waxing here) by Nicole Miller. Much as I love that bracelet it really only comes out on special occasions. That left me longing for a little bit of spangle, sparkle and facets in my day-to-day life. Enter the Phosphorescence Bracelet ($42) above. It was drool at first sight.

Not only does it have the advantage of being $216 cheaper than the Juxtaposed Bracelet, it’s also just as pretty side by side. I like the mix of gold and silver, and the beads and facets add up to make a bouquet of baubles on my wrist. The bow, which is removable, might be too much for some. I find it a cute little accent. It’s a little tricky to open and close the clasp one-handed but I’ve been able to slip it on without unclasping it successfully. The workmanship is of decent quality and everything seems to be attached well. We’ll see how this holds up over the long term. Click on the photos below to enlarge.

Coming up this weekend I have reviews of some new items in-store. If there’s a particular item you’d like to see an IRL review of, just drop me a line or add a comment.

I'd love to see the Cloaked Vista dress on you! Also, the Settling Petals cardi (in one of the new colours or whatever they have, really), and the Tie-Dyed Foliage cardi. I'm about the same size as you and don't live near an anthro! Thanks so much.

Great bracelet!! I was hoping you could try on the Deep Woods toggle coat. I'm in Canada so shipping is extra, extra expensive! I love your blog — thank you so much for posting all your pics! It makes a huge difference actually seeing them in real life.

The minute I saw this bracelet, I too thought of our beloved Juxtaposed Bracelet and expected it to be around the same price! What a relief that it is only $42. (I look at my Juxtaposed Bracelet with a lot of guilt most of the time…it's so pretty, but I think I've worn it 2 or 3 times, max!) The Phosphorescence looks very nice on you, and I love the bow 🙂

the bracelet is fabulous! love a inexpensive jewelry find! Just wondering about the dress you have on…is it from old navy?

oh goldenmeans, yes our juxtaposed bracelet has a high price per wear yet still, the material part of our lives would be slightly incomplete without it. ;)prettydaisy, it is from Old Navy! I saw the dress modeled by the lovely Sweet Tea in Seattle and thought it was too good of a deal to pass up.

Hello! Love the bracelet! Especially with the bow, it's like a present.I was wondering if you could review the bubbling up cardigan if you see it in store? I know you also mentioned the Cloverleaf scoopneck, and I would love to see what you think about it! One last request– the vermillion acres tunic? So cute!! Thank you so much for your awesome blog.

Color drenched dress please! I really want to buy it but it looks really short on the model. Oh and the Floating Lotus dress. I'm hesitating to buy it cause the reviews on the website said its too light and flimsy.

I'd love to see the Verite Dress! I am dying for it to arrive at my local store. Thanks!

$42?!!! I am going to find that. I have been wanting something with crystals for ages. I looked at all the J.Crew things but they are all at least $98 it seems. I didn't realize this one was so reasonable. Thanks!

OK, all requests added. Anon @ 12:08 AM, I did a pre-IRL review of the Floating Lotus Dress. I will see if I can find my size in to take some shots. It's very much like a DVF, especially her spring line from 2009, so the silk chiffon is light but not unsubstantial. My problem with the dress is that it was cut so low that I was spilling out of it. Hope that helps a bit.Sydneygirl – I said the same thing! This bracelet looks much more expensive.

Anon @ 9:53, I am searching far and wide for the Cosgrove Dress! I thought it was in one of the NYC stores but I was mistaken. I am traveling this week and hope to run into it on the road. 🙂
