Email: Fall boots, now at your doorstep

Last winter I went a little crazy with boots and coats. I purchased an embarrassing amount of both to the point where I have no right to even think about buying either again this year. Or the next 5 years really.

Unfortunately my coat & boot ban is being seriously tested by all the incredible items Anthropologie keeps churning out year after year. Like the Winding Ruffle Boots ($258) above which I have not been able to forget about since first seeing them last month. Anthro sends out an email and before I know it I’m admiring their choices with blatant disregard for practicality (or closet space).

This particular email is even worse because it points out so helpfully that two of the NYC stores are carrying boots. (Full list of stores with boots here.) I’ve also spied some in-store returns set out, like a pair of Tawny Acres Boots ($248, above). They’re such a lovely chestnut color and the spurless straps take the rugged to a more refined level. Though slightly distressed the leather smelled great. Like a freshly cleaned saddle.

Oxford at ShopStyle

I’m also optimistic that the Olive Oxford Boots ($228) will show up in-store eventually. A coworker and I are both drooling over these but I want to try them before making the final judgment call. I recently reviewed the Juxtaposition Booties ($210) and the Framework Booties ($178) in this post. Have you purchased any of Anthro’s boot choices this season? Or is there a pair on your wish list?

I ordered the winding ruffle boot this morning. My jaw dropped at first glance. I didn't want them to sell out and have to treasure hunt them down and pay twice the price cuzzzz I have to have them. I don't know if I will be able to stop myself from purchasing the olive oxfords….biting nails. I don't know how you will refrain?

I love the Juxtaposition Booties as well as the Framework boots. I just hate to order shoes/boots. I really need to try them on, and my Anthro doesn't carry shoes. Too bad, so sad for me. I did get a great pair of tall Frye boots. Now, if I can get my hands on a lovely pair of platform peep toes…..

I am loving the winding ruffle boot and the rippled bow booties in the teal/green color. I love unexpected colors and details on any shoe/boot and of course Anthropologie never disappoints & always leaves me wanting more. Last year I purchased the ink well boots and cannot wait to pull them out of the box to wear once the weather turns cooler. I think this year I will have to wait to purchase a new pair of boots when they go on sale. I wish my local Anthro carried shoes…but then again that would be too tempting. Good luck restraing yourself Roxy! 🙂

I keep looking at all the boots in my closet to remind myself not to buy new ones. I bought the Vaquero Boots last year during the November boot sale so I'm trying to hold out at least until then again. We'll see.Georgine, I hear you. I'm a little less anxious about ordering shoes online with all the online options out there now but boots are a different story.

I purchased the Brimming Button booties, which are backordered until 9/21. I've been looking for an olive shoe for fall and love the vintage-y vibe of these.
