Fresh Greens

Green is a beautiful thing. I particularly enjoy the color because it brings out my hazel eyes, as well as for the obvious connection to nature. Anthropologie’s feature page is devoted to green things at the moment and I’m enjoying several selections.

J’adore Le Jardin Cloche ($88), especially the fuzzy flower. Several of the items in the collection remind me of Renee Zellweger’s look in Leatherheads. This chapeau in particular had me thinking of the classic looks she was costumed in. In real life this could be paired with a long dress coat or maybe a belted, low-hip length coat. Oh, the possibilities!

The Gathering Green Bag ($228) looks like it was made from one giant rainforest leaf pressed and willed into a bag. (Dare I conjure a ho, ho, ho, Green Giant?) The leathery smell mind end up confusing me. I love the string-wrapped straps but would like to see this in real life before rendering a final judgement.

The grey version of the Dewpoint Blouse ($68) has caught my eye in store. Now that I know there is a grey version my affections have been transfered. Last year I was Robin Hood for Halloween and I feel as though this could be the new top blouse. And it would get plenty of real-world wear as well.

Is that geometry peeking through the Sky Bridge Dress ($158)? I think I spy grids trying to escape and I like it. I hope the green resembles the model shot more than the product photo. The shoulders look a bit tricky however I think I’m up to the challenge. Hopefully this will be in-store soon.

The Olive Oxford Boots ($228) elicited an excited gasp upon first spy. I want to wear these with my jodphurs and hit the country club or maybe just bring out my best Katharine Hepburn. My goodness these are just classic beauties. I’ve no idea if these would ever fit my legs or not but I cannot wait to try.
